He probably does have special training to some degree or at least one would think he may not be required to train as hard as the rest. But I do understand the point why so many of you agree that it's a waste of a spot. In my opinion I'd rather take the chance with him than Klaassen, just on pure creativity standards for those 15 odd minutes he may come as a sub. Makes sense tho. Looking at his injury list and causes it's admirable that he's resilient but sucks that his body doesn't agree with his mind. Ah well, hope to see him every now and then in Serie A

It goes Recoba, Ronaldo, Adriano, Sensi as far Inter is concerned
The memories.....:
Recoba never really had a manager that could use his strenghts. I thought when Mancini came things would be different. I was wrong.
Peak Ronaldo is probably the best footballer that ever lived.

I do not remember Adriano having issues with injuries.

Mental injuries....

Recoba was very talented, but injury prone and was blamed to be lazy. Talent alone is not enough to succeed at football. No coach can make you great either without you putting hard work into it.

I've grown to the theory that someone already mentioned this here some days ago and what I've been thinking. That Sensi isn't up for the absolute top football. Where the requirement levels are super high. Training is really at top level, you need to give your all every day, team needs to win, that's the obligation. It's different in those teams like Sampdoria or Monza or Sassuolo for instance.

His body just breaks in this environment when the whole focus is about winning. Not enough pro level recovery, muscle maintenance and whatnot, something like that perhaps?

A bit of an insult to the other 3 names there .... cause Sensi's "if" isn't that big, I would just put him next to Robbie Keane, Quarsema, Frey 'what-ifs' for Inter. (Not necessarily injuries related, just what ifs)

So? We were talking about untapped potential and Sensi def deserves to be mentioned here. A healthy Sensi is exactly the player Inter needs.
Ronaldo and Adriano at least contributed for Inter to win some trophies, Sensi played a few good months.

A healthy Sensi is fiction

Not just that, when healthy? The likes of Ronaldo, Recoba and Adriano were amongst the most skillful in the world and had actual outputs. I don't even know why this is even a conversation, sensi couldn't even lace their boots to be mentioned in the same sentence.

You ask any football fans (not just Inter's) and they would most likely agree that Adriano and Recoba are amongst the biggest what ifs. 10 years from now you ask about Sensi and people will laugh in your face.

People are just trying to find a reason behind Sensi still being owned by Inter. To me he should never have been redeemed from Sassuolo in the first place. And I find these many "what ifs" and "that first 2 months tho" quite annoying.

Maybe that is why I've put Sensi last there ;) but they are also attacking players and he is more of a midfielder, so it's not like I'm comparing them with Sensi, just that it's a shame we will never see what he could do for us

The same how it was a shame Ronaldo got injured and he left to Real Madrid, shame Recoba wasn't made of glass, shame Adriano only had about two seasons with us where he was ballin'

I don't disagree entirely, but then on the other side of this argument, shouldn't a club like Inter have top notch of facilities and personnel to ensure their athletes cope better with the requirements of absolute top level football? Also you can argue and say being able to survive lesser quality facilities and training methods means you will be able to get better with better everything at the top clubs.

For me Sensi reminds me or Robben. Pre Bayern Robben was injury prone and misses loads of games, Then at Bayern, he had a really good doctor/physiotherapist - can't remember his name- that he praised a lot and attributed his recovery from his injury proneness to.

So can it be we are not really managing him properly?

It's ridiculous how people hyped up those 2-3 months.
Hype? Did you watch him in these first 2 or 3 months? If you did and you say that it was all hype, you either hate the guy or you have never watched football in your life. Stop shitting on poor guy already.

Sensi peak is no where near Joao Mario, let alone Robben Adriano Recoba and such. His top is at freaking Sassuolo, gimme a break. He was so good that even Monza refuses to redeem?

A few nice touches here and there dont prove anything. He has done nothing at a top club. Its not the club's fault that one's muscles aren't built strong enough for this sport.

I meant more about Sensi's body not being able to endure the top level training. Top level I mean what Inter as a club is targeting leads to physical training to be so demanding that his body just cannot take it. This is of course pure crapshoot, just trying to throw some theory why he always gets injured at Inter but not clearly as much in other (lesser) clubs.

That theory is also possible that our medical team cannot handle specifically Sensi's type of body and physical issues.
