For the amount of money we spent on players, we truly sucked compared to other teams. Look at Barca and Chelsea, we should be up there like them, the top 3 teams with the top class players. It's bitterly unfortunate that we are always this inconsistent, and it seems like buying players is not the solution at all to fix this problem.

Today's game lacked teamwork severely, I think the communications between players are still lacking on the pitch. However, it's not smart at all to sack Mancini, give him atleast til the end of the season and then evaluate the campaign. It's no use to sack him now, otherwise we would be fighting to avoid relegation.

I don't know where you got your education but learn to read. In case it was a bit unclear - here it is in capitals.

TODAY WHERE THE MIDFIELD WAS NOT PROVIDING, ADRIANO SHOULD HAVE MADE THE SAME EFFORT AS IBRAHIMOVIC TO DROP INTO THE MIDFIELD AND COLLECT THE BALL.

Ok?

Fabio :wallbang:

obviously evryone shud drop into midfield ... both forwards wud come down and get balls to pass to the defenders

this is hilarious

in a team diff peep hv diff roles ...

Best Inter squad in decades and it will all go down the drain without a world class experienced coach. From the build up to the goal until the end of the game, we were tactically lost and butchered.

Not that it seems, it's a fact..Bringing big names doesn't neccessary mean good result..Add to that half of the squad is new, you need too much time to get it work..

Anyway, I'm glad I haven't watched this match as I read your posts..Poor match, poor result and plenty of work to do in 1st round..I guess beeing an Interfan can't be boring at all..Always a drama..

Inter needs something new. We need someone who can be an engouraging leader with words and acts in such moments. Someone who could get the players spiced up, who could give them extra energy, who would demonstrate his will to win by fantastic moves and fighting hard. I wish someone would pop out of our youth academy, someone who loves Inter and is a born leader. He doesen't need to be a captain or anything, a leader that could inspire our players with both words and display. Someone like Maldini, or Steven Gerrard vs. Milan in CL final. Espescially our midfield needs such players.

Edit: A player who would fight even when others have somewhat given up. Sometimes watching TV there is a feeling that I'd go to the pitch myself. Play that part on my own. Espescially with Inter games.

We already had someone like this - he was called Oba Martins.

hardly up to the level as the plaers you mentioned, but some of the words you mentioned remind me of Mariano this morning.

flashes of quality, very passionate, went at it hard and wasn't afraid at all, I would've loved to see what he could if we weren't with 10 men and thus not 3 men on him at all times.

Thing is that we need a midfielder like this. And Oba doesen't have the personality to go and tell to the players face "get your ****ing act together man!" Sometimes you need to say that to the players face instead of try tell him what to do or something like that.

But no doubt that someone needs to be ready to get a bullet for this club, but it's hard to find such guys in professional football.

Zanetti was pretty passionate since his introduction. In fact, I felt we did a lot better since conceding the goal, and this with 10 men, even.

I guess this team needs to be shocked into action. The very same thing happened against Roma in the Supercup.

This team isn't without passion, per se. It is simply lost without direction. Mancini is clearly not the man to lead Inter.

Ciao,
Tim

Take it easy, Fabio. The loss probably screwed with his head. :D

Still, I completely understood whatever you were saying.

Play as a goalkeeper, then you know. ;)

I did play as a GK many times.

From that, I can tell you that the only time you wander around the area is when you are meeting a catchable cross or if a player is in a breakaway and you want to block the angle or have a go at him.

What Toldo did was an amateur mistake. When balls are shot like that, they swerve after a bit (which happened) and you have one go at it, and that better be on the go line since that's the way to save it.

Toldo saved it allright, but had he been on the line, it would have gotten out. Instead, the 'save' landed inside the goal.

BTW, agreed with Fabio and Catanha, Mariano showed some brilliance when he came and wasn't afraid. I think he should start against Sampdoria.

I think Inter needs a number 10 player. Figo, my favourite player(I started to read and get interested about Inter because of him), is too old to play that role unless you have two great holding players behind him to win the ball giving it to him so he can put on the striker or in the wingers, as I think it would be better to have two wingers opening the game and holding it to the arrival of the midfielders.

Inter should try to put someone of the Primavera in the number 10 role, startting playing in minor competitions and whenever the result was in danger in order to get confidence.

I'm a Sporting fan, and I must tell you that 5 players that started the match came from our Primavera teams (Nani, M.Veloso, Yannick, Moutinho and Caneira) and we have more in the squad. We are betting on these guys because we don't have enough money to get great football stars, instead we try to launch them. Our actual coach P.Bento(since 10 months ago) won the Primavera Champioship with Sporting two years ago, so he knows a lot of these guys and he gives them lots of confidence. Obviously, we are not a success case yet, as we didin't win anything, but I believe it will happen in the future.

I think Inter should get more profits from the academy, even trying to buy promising players in early stages so that they can start feeling the club.

Damn, Fuk, Shit, Fukung Bitch!!!! What the fuk has happened?:frustrat:

I was watching the Chelsea game, it was the only one witch had live coverage here... And at the end, they tell us all results and goals... When finished, I was just waiting to see how much goal have we scored, and what I saw was....:wth: Sporting 1 - o Inter!!! I didn't believe at first, but when I saw that fuking goal... What a goal!

BTW, How were we? How did we played, good or we deserved the defeat?

Javier Zanetti,
We should've started with Crespo and Crespo alone and have a 5 man mid. Adriano is just plain worthless. Ibra was bad too, but atleast he tried things out.

Everytime Adriano plays its a disaster for whatever number of minutes he plays. It got better once he was off, and how can you leave the greatest RB alive today on the bench?

Our Captain would've damaged Lisbon.
