One which was sitting at half way line and other that was sitting in opponents box. And between them there were few Sporting players and others were with the guys in box. So every ball got kicked to the area where there wasn't any Inter players so Sporting started builiding their attacks from total freedom. Also... when a player is holding the ball long in the side of the box usually players should run into the box and not stay 5 meters away from it. We basically always had only two players in the box againist Sportings 4 or 5. Maybe we should've tried one very very tricky move by bringing Materazzi to attack to ****ing win the headers becauese others weren't doing it. I know Estonia does that trick in internationals when behind with one goal and it often creates lots of chances.
You don't understand. In CL every win is with a price of a gold, every point tastes like fresh honey and every loss will put you in shit. There are six games, we lost one, the first one which is acutally probably the most important one as it put the pressure on us for the all 5 games. Now we need to win atleast one of the games vs. Bayern, both vs. Spartak and also Sporting one. In this group you'll definately need over 10 points to go through.kawe said:Get real. We have beaten Roma and Fiorentina even though it is clear a lot of our players are lacking fitness at this time of the season. They lost one match away from home. Big deal. Don't make it worse than it is...
so acc to u adri shud also havee dropped into the midfield??? both forwards in the midfield???Fratelli d'Italia said:The reason I single out Adri more than Ibra is because both have similar styles of collecting the ball, and tonight that the midfield provided no service it was actually Ibra who went for the ball instead of Adri.

now thatz what i call an idea !!!
They both dropped there once in a while, but both of them in the end got frustrated. They went to pick up the ball, they got it, moved foward and then suddenly they had to face the fact that there was no-one to ****ing give the ball as no-one even bothered to move up. It tires you and then you also get a feeling that it's pointless to make that work. I wouldn't be suprised if every Sporting player ran twice as much distance as our most active guy. Even Toldo ran more than some of our midfielders.Fratelli d'Italia said:The reason I single out Adri more than Ibra is because both have similar styles of collecting the ball, and tonight that the midfield provided no service it was actually Ibra who went for the ball instead of Adri.

TODAY WHERE THE MIDFIELD WAS NOT PROVIDING, ADRIANO SHOULD HAVE MADE THE SAME EFFORT AS IBRAHIMOVIC TO DROP INTO THE MIDFIELD AND COLLECT THE BALL.
Ok?

Mancini is not consistnt with his formation, I mean in his first CL match he should give it all right?Inter101 said:Fabio, with this team we shouldnt be losin. plus u kno how f-in inconsistent mancini is, when u start givin up hopoe, he surprises you, only to return to crappier state. Toldo moved to far right because the ball was heading towards that direction originally, but then it started to curl other way and Toldo sure did have to concentrate his energy on getting other way, but he had do concentrate his energy there because otherwise he would've not had any chance to save it at all. The only mistake he did was going to the other direction which was partly understandable move as the ball didn't start curling rightaway. But also, a classy defender would've definately not given oppoenent an opportunity for such shot, while Maicon made a clown attemt to stop Caneira.Karim Abdoun said:Toldo did the worst thing a GK woul;ddo, I knoew because here in Egypt I play as a GK since 1994.
He was outside to have an advantage to get to the ball quicker, consistant with all GKs, but the problem is that he didn't get enough leverage to the ball as he went for far right then turned his entire body to the left in mid-air, that movement of the body combined with the force of his hands applied to the ball is small as most of his energy is focused on turing his upper body to the ball's direction, thus the force applied to the ball was minimal and that led tot he ball just hitting thee crossbar and entering the goal, Toldo's mistake 100%
Hamed said:Excellent tactical analysis and I agree with it. Good point about Materazzi, but we already had Crespo who is a dangerous header, but the crosses weren't there.
I don't about some here, but I didn't Maicon was that bad, he was specially better in the second half. Too bad Stan was Stan and Figo was off and neither could play good 1-2 with him. They left this task to Dacourt (who wasn't bad either) but can't do these things anymore
