What an intense game, Valencia missed a two vs the goal keeper chance, and the empty net rebound, and bale missed the counter chance.

Actually hiring Benitez was retarded. Firing him was I guess "normal".

Has anyone noticed how much Ronaldo and Messi have declined this season?

Sure hiring him was not the smartest decision, but firing him midseason without a suitable replacement is on the verge of insanity. Putting Zidane as interim doesn't make sense. Too much risk imo.

The only guaranteed upside to placing Zidane as coach, is he'll have control of the locker room. I don't think even Ronaldo will make a peep against him.

The retarded thing about the Benitez-case is much more about the fact that they did fire Ancelotti to make room for him.

You really think so? I don't know how much power he's going to have. Maybe initially he'll have a lot of power, but if they lose 5 games in a row good luck with that shit.

Players always control the locker room, unless it's like a Fergie case.

I think it has to do with the level of respect the players have for their coach. If their coach has already been a world class player, I think they respect them more (Guardiola, Ancelotti, etc...)
