I don't believe that..Ronaldinho is a professional and still the best player in the World, IMO..What I like the most is his delight when playing and watching him on the pitch just gives me the reason to enjoy football..I read he dropped in form, I'm sure he'll manage to get back on his usual level though..

Kaka is another example that Brazilians are not gloryhunters in general..

Btw. Bravo Atletico, pitty they didn't win the derby..

Ronaldinho dropped in form since last WC, all he needs is a rest on the sidlines and then he wil be on form, no seriously he's playing since last season nonstop including with the NT.
But still what is most impressive is that he plays for fun, thus entertains, and thus does his job at the utmost perfection and that's why it's a joy to watch and play with him, he is having fun through doing a great job that he loves so much.

Even the best falls down sometimes. Just like Mehdi said, Ronaldinho didn't have the best of start to the season in 04/05 but he still played an integral part in the Barca side that won the title that year. It's not as if we had the best of starts too...

Eto'o may be one of the best strikers in the world in the past 2 seasons but do not forget that it was Saviola who led Barca's frontline when in the 2nd part of the 03/04 season when they just demolished everything that went on their way. If I'm not wrong, they set the record for the most winning streaks and went unbeaten for the whole 2nd half of the season?

You can't compare Kaka with any other Brazilian. If you look at Kaka's style and everything, he is more Argentinian than Brazilian.
I like Kaka a lot. The main reason is that Kaka plays just pure football and doesn't try to be fancy or play for his shoe contract. His focus is to play football. If he can do a pass easy, he doesn't try to catch attention with playing it with his backheel. That's pretty Argentinian of him.
He also has married his high school girlfriend.

Handoyo..fair enough, he has been bad before. But there's something about his body language. Back then even when he was in bad form, at least he tried. You could see him really trying, even against shitty teams.
Right now..hm..

As far as Saviola is concerned..his problem is that he is/was not really a striker working for the team. As an example, both Guddy and Eto'o run back and defend. Saviola? hardly ever did it. Also, he didn't have that great of an eye for his teammates, but this has changed a bit.
Also, that part of the season, Ronaldinho had the time of his life and we were simply on a massive run. I think even I would have scored a couple of those goals.
But let's see...so far I like what I have seen of Saviola. he has changed a lot, maybe he wants to prove something to Rijkaard.

I read that Saviola would like to stay at Barca, so I am sure he will do everything he can to impress Rijkaard and help the team.

It will be interesting in the next few weeks to see how Barca do against Sevilla and Real without Eto’o. Gudjohnsen and Saviola did well against Bilbao, but it will be a tougher test in the next couple of weeks.

Saviola is rumoured to wanting a new contract at Barca. He's been so unpopular due to him not being willing to sign a contract based on results and achievements like the other players in the squad. Saviola's the only player left from the old regime (that before Laporta) and, not surprising, thus he has a major contract. Him not being willing to let go of this has made him unpopular among the Barca officials.

I'm sure Goljohnsen and Savi can make it. Barca's not that dependent on single players, anyhow.

Obviously. He has fought himself back in from the cold and scored already. Impressive feat, indeed.

Tavano is a very good player mate.

I hope he gets a chance at Valencia cause he deserves it. He will make a very good partner for either Moro or Villa.

Lets hope he doesnt turn out like Fiore.

Francesco Tavano (born 2 March 1979 in Caserta) is an Italian footballer.

Tavano is a striker and currently plays for Valencia CF of La Liga. He was the top scorer of his former club Empoli, and was considered one of the stars of the small Tuscan team, which he joined in 2001, as well as one of the most talented Italian youngsters of his generation. During the 2006 January transfer window,, several Italian football pundits claimed that Real Madrid were interested in signting Tavano, but would eventually sign for Valencia during Summer 2006.

Tavano has also played for Rondinella (1999/2000 and 2000/2001, both times in Serie C2) and Pisa (January-June 2000, Serie C1).

Tavano is more like a SS that a striker. He can organize the attack well. He can play on various positions. CF, SS, RW, AM... He has good dribbling, his crossing is good, and decent speed. He is great player. The perfect sub for many positions.

Tavano is a great player. But Villa has been in great form for the past 2-3 seasons and Morientes looked sharp again so it is an unfortunate situation for him.

First off, I'm another Valencia supporter from Spain :D

Secondly... why do you think that? He's been injured and we're trying to get him better as soon as possible. We have to play three competitions, and we can't cope with just two natural forwards... everyone in Valencia is waiting to see him in action!:boogy:

Oh yeah, and how come everyone speaks English here?
