Indeed. Inzaghi needs a significant trophy to evolve from a "good" to "top" coach. Which means Scudetto, Europa League or Champions League :)

Otherwise he is just as good as Pochettino some years ago.
So Pioli is top coach?

I mean we got lucky to get to the final and feel like he outcoached Pep in the final. Just Lukaku was paid to make us lose. Even if he had won I still wouldn't put him in as a top coach. He doesn't know how to make subs, scout players, promote youth players(we are up by 4 goals and he will still use the same 4 subs he always does), and just wants grandpas that use to play for him in the past. It's working so far .... not sure for how long tho

Winning the Italian league with Inter/Juve isn't that impressive. Best roster, highest wages, biggest transfer budget in the league.

A top coach is Unai Emery has like 4 Europa leagues with crappy teams (Sevilla is in regulation zone right now without him) and has Aston Villa in the champions league right now. Naming more than 2-3 of the Villa players isn't easy

I'm pretty sure you didn't know about Mahrez and Kante until Leicester had that beautiful run in EPL. You don't have to build a team with world class, known everywhere players to play good.

Plus Aston Villa players aren't as unknown as crzd make them out to be. Dibu Martinez was an Argentina hero in last world cup. Pau Torres was considered a top cb prospect in Spain and he was linked with Barcelona and Juventus. Bailly and Diaby were hot prospects at Leverkusen. Boubacar Kamara was linked with many top clubs but he went to Villa because he wanted a guaranteed starting spot. Digne, Lenglet and Tielemans are quite known among football fans.

Also Aston Villa isn't some kind of fairytale. We can only dream of Inter having Aston Villa budget in recent years.

2019/20: 156m net spent
2020/21: 98m net spent
2021/22: 2m net spent (summer they sold Grealish)
2022/23: 46m net spent
2023/24: 60m net spent

I don't recall Inter ever being this consistently dominant.

Even when we won 17 games in a row, we weren't constantly dominating and destroying quality opponents as we're doing now.

Love to see it!

My only criticism is about Darmian, who looks really exhausted. Why we got that Canadian guy as he cannot take some minutes even here? How long he will adjust to the team, till Christmas?

I agree... we've had individual players of a higher calibre, we've had arguably stronger squads, but I can't or at least I'm struggling to remember a time where we were anywhere near as pleasing to the eye to watch as this Inter right now. Long may it continue!

All good and everything but one thing bothers me about Inzaghi. His overuse of Darmian and Mkhitaryan. Not saying this because they are shit, but they are not young anymore. They should be the first to be subbed off when we are up 2-0 in the last minutes of the game.

We’ve been saying that for 2 years now, at this point I don’t even care. We get results. He’s earned the right to choose what he thinks best.

Thing that bothers me is that Bastoni is not able to play 90 minutes.

But Acerbi is. This is quite strange to me as well. Also Darmian. If Buchanan is not ready, just put Bisseck in 30 min before the end, and shift Pavard as a WB.
I don't want to lose Darmian because of overusing. The guy is really valuable and covers two positions at least.

Barella also isnt fit to play 90min but mikhi is whos older? Lol
The thing is that Inzaghi operates like Ancelotti he believes and let the old guard play always 90min every game like ancelotti with Modric and kross and benzema last year
Even tho there were so many young good players but still these 2 Managers wants their older players to feel special and why the fuk not they are fuking playing great
Acerbi and Mikhi are our best players easily almost in every game

I wouldn't say so. Bastoni usually is far more active compared to Acerbi or even one of Pavard/Darmian. We are more active on the left flank with Bastoni and Dimarco.

Bastoni usually goes forward with these runs, which consumes quite a lot of energy. He's very productive with his short/long range passing and also crossing inside opponents half or box. Same goes for Dimarco for example. He has amazing stamina but yet he gets subbed off in almost every match.

Sometimes it's about tactical change more than anything else. Acerbi is less active in offensive contributions though (even when he's played as LCB).

I'm not agree about Darmian, as he goes up and down all the time. Both of Acerbi and Darmian are 33+ (I even don't know their real age. Could be hundreds of years), but they are playing almost every game. Same goes for Mkhitaryan, but he looks fine for now.

My point was more related to Bastoni consuming extra energy while making executions. Like example in boxing, the more you punch and execute, the more you consume energy. Not saying that other players don't perform same things as Bastoni, but the latter is just more active in these details which will require more energy. Might sound weird but that's how it is.

Running alone doesn't take that much energy. Sprinting does, execution of shooting, consistent involvement in long range passing and some other details do.

Also we ve been saying this about every single coach in the past and will keep on saying it about every coach we re getting...
Then again i guess some people just have to complain about something and usually its the use of the subs when the results are as good as they are now
