TBH Inzaghi is trying to manage the situation as much as he can.
He is trying to give opportunities to Sanchez & Arna because he needs to do so, its not his fault that they are beyond useless at this stage of their career.

Ofc we would be having better chance with both Lauti & Thuram but we just can't play the same duo every 3 days. At the end no one knows in what condition we will be in Feb even if we were 1st on the group so at least we manage to keep our key players fit enough for the Serie A until then.

In feb we see who we get then and in what shape we are. As of today , the only team i would be truly afraid would be Man City. All the rest is 50:50 for me

This discussion reminds me a similar one among Inter fans in 2008 when we finished second in the group behind Panathinaikos which sent us to Man Utd and elimination.

If we get an easy draw and most importantly if we qualify to quarter finals no one is gonna remember about finishing second in the group. But if we get eliminated i can see this being a talking point as a criticism like it was for Mourinho.

But Mourinho knows he needs to lose at home to Panathinaikos if he wants to win CL the next season :)

he did ok, he rested some players, he pushed it in the last minutes for a win, we didn't have luck, so what, it's ok

Dont get me wrong it s not a huge issue but i would have prefered if he pushed for the victory here and if he started our best 11..
Gap between the teams who finished first and those who finished second is huge that does not mean we re out or that we would have passed anyways if we finished 1st but still.. chances of advancing would have been significantly higher if we finished first...

The rest thing can also go both way getting an easier opponent might have allowed us to rest some players in the second leg in feb/march...

Bottom line i dont understand why we did not go for the win and i dont think rest for the lazio game is an adequate explanation...

Disappointed with his management of the Benfica and Sociedad games for reasons that have been discussed at length.

But for what it’s worth, none of the teams who finished/ will finish 1st are winning their leagues. Arsenal is the closest.

Yeah but the difference is we are focus on the Scudetto. That is legit our number one priority and Inzaghi acts based on that.

Dortmund would be a fun game and I think we can move past them.

Barcelona have a joke defense so we can beat them too but I hate Xavi and I hate this team.

With Nice conceding 3 goals in their latest match, we know have the best defensive record in the top 5 leagues, with only seven goals conceded (Nice have let in 9).

What makes that even more impressive is that we simoultaneously have the fourth-best attack (shared with PSG) at 39 goals, only after Bayern, Leverkusen and City.

Sommer has the most clean-sheets across all competitions, and the most in the leagues with 10 in 16 matches, this being the fourth in a row in all.

Outrageous work by everyone involved, but mostly by this man.

Great win but can we learn how to press please ? Sometimes it's very embarrassing.

I give him so much credit for how Inter has managed to turn things around since late part of last season and how we've been so convincing lately.

It's not as easy as it looks on paper. With all these limited resources, injuries and everything else, he's keeping Inter competitive and on level with elite teams of Europe with superior resources. He's won my utmost respect and full faith. Grande Mister!

So you saying that this worthless fucker does good work!? I thought we bottled against Benfica and Sociedad!

He is well equipped this season, but the level of dominance we are displaying is ridiculous. I hope we can sustain this until the crunch time of the season. Props to Simone for doing whatever he does. We were all shitting in our pants for this stretch until Bologna and managed to not get beaten even once before the Bologna game.

If I remember correctly, the full court press brought us that embarrassing defensive record in his first season. After the game against Sheriff in CL when we won but struggled significantly I think it was Brozovic who said something along the lines of "if we don't start to defend properly, we are fucked". After that game the all out press was abolished and we started doing the version of it we are seeing till this day.
Have to add that a forward like Lautaro is sort of luxury for a pressing team. Top top level in this sense. And in many other.

He just said he thinks we're going to get City in the draw

He's obsessed with cup competitions, he's insane. Coppone Inzaghi indeed.
This would look stupid if we indeed draw City and crash immediately.

Or Inzaghi is playing a long con. He deeply wishes he plays City so we are out from UCL and we can focus on the long-sought Serie A.

You're absolutely right and so is Coolman, but yesterday there were sequences where 2 passes managed to make Lazio gain 30 meters, thank God Immobile was kind of isolated and not prime Immobile anymore.
