It's wild cause usually a CL final is something you make after years of league dominance and breaking the bank to make some world class purchases.

We're on a shoestring budget with some sporadic terrible league results. It seems like the stars are aligning.

Last 10 years we've had Dortmund, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Atletico and of course Real Madrid in the CL finals. Don't think any of them actually dominated their leagues for years, unless you call finishing second "dominating".
Only Bayern, Barcelona, PSG, Juventus and City can be considered teams that reached CL final by being the dominant force domestically. That's 6/20, and 2 of those finals they played between them, so it's 4/10 CL finals where we had a league dominating side appear in CL.

CL is a cup tie and the previous 10 seasons record proves it. Which is also why it was a disaster from our end that we couldn't reach the latter stages. It was more than doable but we shat our pants because reasons.


Well done Simone. Took Inter where it belongs. European Cup history books. Let's hope we can finish the job and get that 4th!

Yep, here's the video from 2:46 onward. And this is what me and a couple of other people here were clamoring like fuckin parrots throughout the season.

He deserves to stay, and he deserves the trust, especially after this success, but he also needs to learn and improve in the league format and given that he doesn't seem to have much of an ego I can believe that hopefully next season those things will happen.

I wish Lukaku was as smart and humble on the pitch as he was on this interview, and sometimes he is, but a lot of the time he's so fucking clumsy and retarded and somehow still complains to his teammates when he fucks up. Sometimes it's like he still doesn't know how to use his body properly, at 30 years old!

But yeah, that interview with Henry really sold me on Lukaku as a person, hopefully we can work out something reasonable for next season. But please Romelu don't fuck up the UCL final like you fucked up the EL final.
