My thoughts on the game

Good result, as The Ukarine is by no means the easiest place to go. The Martins-Adriano partnership seems to be working a treat and the thought: Bobo (Vieri) who? come to mind.

I know people will think I am just saying this, but I think this is our year.

The new signings are all good players and the squad looks very good this year, and I hope that Recoba can find his place in the team, and get good form, as he is one of the most talanted players in the world, just needs a good few performances under his belt. He has showed on numerous occasions that he has a magical left foot, probably the best in the world, and he is rated very highly by me.

Back on topic of the Champions League, next leg should not be too much work in the empty San Siro.

Ohh and here is a nice little statement by (The King) Adriano:

Pod, he would still rock in Spain, he is a good player. It's just that in Italy soft players like him rarely succeed. You all know the legend that spanish players doesn't succeed in Italy; well it's not about the nationality but the league.

But today we played in CL not in Serie A and he still sucked so maybe it's not that it's the league.

These Ukrainians were way ahead of us in terms of physical preparation, still we owned their asses for the whole game.

I gotta say Julio Cesar impressed me more in a month than Carini did in a year.

I do believe he can make it, while I never believed for one second that Carini could.

I didn't get to watch the game, but I see good things being said about Julio Cesar. I never thought of Carini as our starter, only as 3rd choice keeper and may be prromoted to 2nd someday. Julio Cesar will become our guardian.

Adriano was great as alwawys and him and oba seemed to connect well also I really like Julio Cesar. This was a terrific result, Ukraine is a difficult place to play and I see us capping things off strongly at home with another 2-0 win.

Well, I don't agree that Veron had a totally bad match. Instead he won the ball a lot, and some of them are important for defense and attack. Ball winner is not what he supposed to act, it's still nice to see he can do it though.
