i dont watch him now but it looks like he has talent, just a shit attitude

if he can fix the mentality, he could still have a good career

I dont know if he'll ever be 'Inter' level, but he should at least have the ability to be a good Serie B, or reasonable Serie A player at least

He has joined first team pre season. At least for now. I read he has interest from 2 Serie A and 3 Serie B clubs. Imo we need to send him back to Bari where he had finally become a starter. What he needs is playing time. Level of the league isn't that important right now. He needs to play.

Bari wouldn't be the worst option really. He fought himself to be a starter there and they were right up there in the promotion battle. Those are situations we want these kids to be.

100% on both of these posts. We need to find a level he can thrive at. Given his age, its critical this next season he plays as a first team starter for the full season, and if he wants to progress his career significantly, he needs to be one of the best 3-4 players at the club this year.

Something like Bari seems like the perfect level, imho.

He has talents, but just not the Messi, Recoba, Balotelli kind. He needs to work and refine more, like DiMarco, Immobile; problem is with his attitude he won't make it.

I liked his tenacity when he came on. Also nice finish, calm and measured.

But he really needs to hit the gym. He looks overweight to me.

Hopefully he goes to the right team on loan and can put things together. He's still young. Any rumours on where he may be going, or are we waiting until we get another striker in before letting him go?

Let’s face it the lad is never going to develop into something useful, he simply lack the mentality and attitude. Hopefully he is sold off, it’s really about time Inter slim down on the excess number of players on loan.

I have many doubts, but he is a talented forward. It’s a bit quick to write him off entirely for being an egotistical 20 year old who’s best buds with Lukaku. He could theoretically mature in his 20s. I don’t think he’s a nut like Balotelli or Cassano so it’s not inconceivable. Doubt he will find much space here though so best for him to try and secure a serie A loan.

Theoretically mature in his 20s? :D

How many of us were mature at his age?

Of course he will mature. He just needs proper and fitting environment to get best out of himself.

Footballers grow up more quickly in a sense. Slower in many other senses, but they usually have families, a lot of responsibilities, and expectations at a young age. They are likely the primary breadwinners for their families. That kind of stuff puts some years on you even if you’re a completely undereducated child in many other regards.

I don’t think it’s impossible that between 17-21 he hasn’t been humbled slightly.

Your not really mature before you pass 25 years at the very earliest, as the brain is still under development.

So yes he will mature, but I just seen similarities to what we seen with Cassano, Zaniolo etc. at a similar age. Hopefully he doesn’t follow the same path.

Talent is only one piece of the puzzle, a young player also need the right mentality, atitude and work ethic. I’m not writing specifically about him but in general, there reasons why such a small percentage make the cut, lot is simply down to this aspect. We are actually requiring something that goes a bit against nature and how we develop as individuals, it requires a very special attitude to become an athlete, with lots of sacrifices and not being able to do the sort of things other at that age do to the same extent. you have to commit yourself to it and work hard. How many of us could really do it in that age. So his attitude isn’t really so shocking, he is just a young man after all. The sort of professionalism required of these lads at that age doesn’t come naturally for all. The clubs need to put lots of effort into developing them both in terms of football skills and as well mentally, the latter is not something Italy in generally been good enough at. If you look at other leagues they nurse and work hard on developing this aspect, in Italy your far more left to your own mental strength, especially at Inter, something been reported by numerous young players throughout the years.

Kid -> Boy -> Man

Some become man at 25-28, some others before, i would say Lautaro is a man since 2-3 seasons ago, unlike some others who are little bitches.

TBH I am pretty sure he can delivery more than Correa as the forth striker, also I actually think he has more heart and discipline to play with us than other random team we will send him too, cause he at least is passion and motivated to play for the colors and more humble here, might not be a bad idea keeping him as the 4th after all.

On top of that the way he plays click with the style of this new Inter, midfield driven, also not too worry about his defensive work rate compare to Correa.
