I'm not sure but 2-3 years ago, he almost signed for some club from Uzbekistan or Kazakhstan. So, what was that? And now if the rumours are true, he wants 10 millions per season...

Just because there was a rumor doesn't make it true. Man city offered him €13 million a season and a €25 signing on fee if the rumors are to be believed but he turned them down.

He didn't want to. They wanted to.

How could anyone here not want him on this team after seeing that goal?! That goal is clutch to the MAX and is exactly what we have been lacking in the past few seasons. That goal wasn't created by a Xavi/Messi/Iniesta pass but by a moment of brilliance by Eto'o. This is also something that he does a lot, maybe not on the same frequency as Zlatan, but a lot. And right now the only people here who are Anti-Eto'o are those whose posts prove that they seldom watch Samuel in action.

Ibra earns more than what Eto'o is rumored to earn, does that mean that Ibra only cares about money too?! Because Ibra certainly doesn't deserve it.

Believe it or not this was first time I saw that goal against MAn U in final...

Eto'o went to Uzbekistan to play on loan, while there is no games with Barca, I dont think he went there to sign a contract. Sure he loves money, but I never got impression he became lazy or anything, he did his job all the time at high level. But still, should know by now he has money for few lifes,..

I am a supporter of the Cameroon national team. If I recall right, Eto'o was really good in the first match of the World Cup 2002, against Ireland, where he and Mboma played up front. They were stunning in the 1st half, but lost the upper-hand in the second half. And then the rest of their World Cup were crap.

Cameroon missed the last World Cup, but that is a very Cameroonian thing to do (they have trouble against weaker teams). They underachieved in qualification, and missed out on qualifying despite beating group winners Ivory Coast twice. Pierre Wome missed a last minute penalty (which he claimed that Eto'o didn't want to take) in the deciding match against Egypt away, and Ivory Coast won the group.

Now, they have begun the last round of the World Cup qualifying very poorly, with just one point from the opening two matches. They have a very important clash against leaders Gabon in august that they must win.

Eto'o has scored a lot of goals against weaker nations in the African Cup of Nations, but in the 2006 edition he missed a penalty (his second) in a 12-round shoot-out against Ivory Coast in the quarterfinal. Ivory Coast progressed. Other than that, he was very good in that tournament, although Cameroon were in a very weak group. The match against Ivory Coast was very defensive and static, and he didn't find much space there.

He has actually participated in two World Cups - he was part of Cameroon's squad as early as 1998.

Of course, his fantastic goal tally in Barca is much thanks to the environment (Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, etc), but Eto'o is the kind of player who always finds the occassions, and I am quite sure that he will deliver at least around 20 goals in the Serie A as well.

But I hope Ibra will stay.

Gazzetta says the potential deal could be 8.5 million/year for 5 years.

His goal scoring rate at Mallorca, Barca and for Cameroon is exceptional. Now our midfield may not be as joga bonito as Barca's, but I am dead certain it's at the very least on the same level as Mallorca or Cameroon (although according to some of the doomsayers on here, it's not:rolleyes:) Face it whever the guy goes he finds a way to the back of the net.

That would be just bearable. Gazzetta also say Eto'o would got to Barca to look for the "golden handshake" which could be 5-6m€. I think these figures are total guessing, they are as good as our predictions, but let's see how it goes.

That makes sense now. Personally I believe maximum salary for him has to be 8 m, but 8.5 m doesn't make a difference that much.

Recalcati says that moratti is not willing to go to the ibra levels again. He is going to offer eto €8.5 million a season but he can reach €10 million with bonuses. He says moratti won't pay a bonus so if eto wants a golden hand shake he will have to go to barca and convince laporta to pay him that.

Eto's agent will go to barca to try and get a bonus of €5-6 million from barca and then come to milan to talk to moratti.

I really hate him.

He thinks that he is better than the others, and also Unstable character.

Money lover, He wants to take leaving bonus from Barchalona, what kind of players is this, he is taking advantage of Barchalona needs to sell him by demanding money, also trying to get as much from Inter because he knows that Inter will sell Ibra.

What kind of player is he? I have never seen a famous player who do these Low Level things.

We know quite well L'Equipe's sources. :howler: Just a load of crap. Not that Eto'o wouldn't be convinced of Inter and Mou, but the source.

24oredisport.com (Recalcati site) called to Messalles who said they are at Barcelona with Eto'o right now. But there's been no contact from the club yet. He said that tomorrow could happen something, when it comes to this deal. So perhaps they try to deal with Barcelona today/tomorrow and then tomorrow fly to Milano for Inter-deal.

Couldn't you say the same when all the "he will earn to much" bashing started ? :p

Seems you would believe more the pesimistic roumor, than an optymistic one :>

Eto has always been a money hungy bitch. So it doesnt surprise me, that he is asking for a huge contract. There are many rumours about this coming from way many different sources, so if you wanna think that he is gonna earn 2mill/season, then feel free to do so, but let others be realist.
