Just look at the eyes of Mourinho all night. Even when Cassano starts cheering for the fans, there is these eyes and smile that this game wasn't really taken seriously, and Genoa and Man Utd better watch out.

Okay, fine, we will miss the Coppa Italia, but just look at our coach's behaviour throughout the game. He has something planned.

Exactly. This game was simply used as a means for our 2nd string player to earn their wages. It's the Coppa Italia FFS. Had it been next week Wednesday I would be in tears but I never really got into this match and tbh, felt as if we were playing a friendly.

Letting in 6 goals in two games to Roma and Samp...

United will have a field day against us, we are totally besides ourselves currently.

Same shit every year at this time, team breaks down.

They should "Call in sick" against united and save us the embarrasment, just forfeit the game.

Loser team.

Sampdoria have a foot in the Coppa Italia Final after thrashing Inter 3-0 despite playing with 10 men for the final half-hour.

I think some of you are being harsh on Mancini. Granted, as a natural winger, the fucker should know how to cross. But I was impressed with his play in the middle of the park, and he was our number one goal threat, and was the only player tonight who looked like he could thrive in the Champions League.

I totally disagree... Everyone played badly tonight except for Viera who did the whole 90 minutes which is the only good thing we got out of this game...

And that's very worrying. Inter should never toss away any competition, that's ridiculous. And after all, we had quite a bunch of first-team players on the pitch tonight. And they looked like shit. Disgusting, again.

This is a damn epic failure beyond imaginations lol you guys realize hehe if Jose doesn't get the CL then lol he would of had a worse year then Mancini. Mancini took us to Coppia final here didn't happen it is extremely hard to win everything in a season Man U did it last year but before that not many have a accomplished it. I would be more then happy to fuck coppia Italia to win a damn CL. After all gents the only thing that matters to Italian is scudetto. No one gives a fuck about cups only the god damn mid level and shit teams. Mourinho wants to win everything in his stay in Italy he wanted Coppia Italia but it wasn't to be barring a miracle at home which isn't going to fucking happen lol. 0-0 3-3 3-0 sums it up we need Ibra and Samuel fast otherwise forget about it. We need to win the game against genoa to have a win in our last 4 games once Saturday is over some confidence going into England it's beyond important. Genoa are not to be fucked with we all know this. My god two ties and now a loss worst possible way to go into the second leg my gosh. We need a pacy player with skill Cassano Diego Aguero any one of them will be what this team is seriously lacking. Azz and others have been saying it for a while now this team needs a playmaker other then Maicon and Ibra. Let's hope the special one can give us 3 of the 4 titles this year lets put this shitties performance of the year behind us and move on to the scudetto race we can't be distracted for this one I assume we will be especially playing away. Jesus Mourinho lost now to Werder Pananthiakos Atalanta, Milan, and now Samp that's not good for Mourinho track record starting with Inter.

True. Regardless of what competition it is (except maybe the FIFA Club World Cup) we should take the matches seriously. Resting first team players against Reggina in the Coppa Italia round 1 is one thing, but if we don't give a shit about the Coppa, we should have deliberately allowed ourselves to be knocked out by Roma or earlier to avoid having to play more matches in an already tight schedule.

And i cant believe some people are dumb enough to say "we didnt care about the coppa".

Right... If we didnt care, we would use primavera players in this game, not regular starters and reserves.

Long live ignorance :wallbang:

I don't blame Mourinho here... The players let themselves down tonight.

So Mourinho had no responsibility to the general performance of the team at all? One of his upsides was that he's the extra motivator who can get the better out of the squad. These serious lacklusters (some CL matches, Atalanta, now this) tells quite a different story.

Goal.com ratings...

Toldo -5.0: Gone are the days of the wonder saves. The veteran goalkeeper was helpless for all three goals as his defence let him down. He couldn't do anything to stop 'Doria from scoring on the night. He did look a little suspect at times though.

Cordoba -5.0: No-one really knows what Cordoba was thinking on Sampdoria's third goal. He showed some defensive uncertainty as he tried to clear the ball by back-heeling it when he should have blasted clear and Pazzini said 'thank you very much'.

Materazzi -5.5: Some things just never change and it's not hard to see why. The Italian was more interested in pinching Pazzini in the backside rather than focussing on matters more important. He made some strong challenges and was booked for his efforts. A clumsy and less than effective display.

Rivas -3.0: The Colombian defender was nothing more than ridiculous. His defending for Cassano's goal proves just why Mourinho doesn't play him on a regular basis. At times he was so bad that even his boss laughed when other coaches would have cried. Calcio's Titus Bramble.

Zanetti -6.0: Zanetto reminds everyone of the diesel engine which never lets you down. It ticked over positively even when other parts of the Inter mechanism stalled on a cold and wet night in Genoa.

Vieira -5.0: No longer the presence and leader of the middle. The Frenchman just isn't the same any more and, with performances like these, it's little wonder as to why he plays a bit-part role at the club. The former Arsenal man ran around looking lost and made some rash challenges which didn't help him or his side.

Muntari -5.0: The Ghanaian was not the powerful driving force on the night for his side. He consistently failed to stamp his authority in the middle of the park and he wasted a number of good chances. His mind seemed elsewhere tonight.

Maxwell -4.5: Unfortunately for Inter he was not the max everyone expected him to be. He just didn't get going this evening. His runs were futile while the passing was non existent. He just couldn't handle the pressure which Sampdoria applied and, like his side, he ended up choking.

Mancini -5.0: The Brazilian is a shadow of the player which helped lead Roma to Coppa Italia glory last year. On this performance, it seems as if Mancini will not be taking another medal home this season. He was less than perfect and his shooting reflected this.

Adriano -4.5: Adriano looks lost without the support of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The big hitman was isolated up front and the partnership with Mario Balotelli just didn't pay the dividends Mourinho was looking for. It took him 45 minutes to have a shot on goal. Hopefully, for Inter's sake, he will be different against Genoa on Saturday and Manchester United next week.

Balotelli -5.0: There was some concern for the striker as a freak accident with the wood work left him dazed, luckily he was given the all clear, but had to go to hospital as a precaution. On the pitch he was left on his own out on the left and he didn't produce the results which were expected. He was a little greedy at times, going for personal glory when his side needed a team performance. Looked a shadow of the Balotelli who played so well against Roma.

Subs: Maicon 5.5, Crespo 6.0, Obinna 5.0

Simply Disaster.
I really do not like the idea of throwing away any competition, as little as Coppa Italia. However, if there is really something in disguise, I might be able to accept this defeat. Otherwise, it is simply disgrace
