That was a perfect header by SMS, very hard to make a save for that. He could have made the save, but is that now the requirement that Handanovic needs to make that game saver every match or he has failed at his job?

Similar to how you're not able to 'show us' that we had Vidal wrapped up a few season ago and ready to sign for us?

If anything you're the king of making statements (especially transfer related) on this forum yet interestingly enough there is never proof...

Let's keep the Vidal out of this thread, okay? brehme should not answer, let's talk about Handanovic here. Stop with this whataboutism BS right here.

I do kinda agree with this. Its hard to deal with a perfect header there, tbh, and the power was perfect. At the same time, Handanovic could have done a bit better but I dont think it would have made too much difference. Near post and stuff always sucks, but at the same time, in my mind that was pretty much a perfect header

Lol, the dude had a medical with Inter in 2018 but you want me to show you a signed contract

Maybe you also have to learn how to separate what information looks like and what opinion. You have an unsubstantiated opinion about Handanovic somehow needing to be able to be everywhere on his goal line at the same time, whereas I shared an information and I didn't make any decisions on any transfers. I just (used to) share the word as much as I was allowed to. And Vidal was coming in 2018, yes. Even if he wasn't coming as I said back then, that doesn't mean that automatically Handanovic should have caught every ball that is goalward...

I don't understand this near post thing tbh in this case. I understand what it means that goalie shouldn't allow near post goals. But that is for the cases when the play comes from that side and you allow the shot on the near post. It wasn't that case now. It was a cross from other side, Handa needed to make the lateral movement so I wouldn't call it near post. It's more like a "shot" straight from the pass, pass which requires goalie to make a lateral movement. Not standing in a static position and then allow near post shot, that's almost always on goalie.

So if the ball travels across the goal and ends up in a near post goal by a random player and the gk managed to barely reach that spot, it's by default the goalkeeper to blame? That's not logical.

Look at the clip, we have one defender on the middle and another moving to the back post,as they should. Nothing handanovic can do if it goes back across. But HD doesn't give us a chance by getting beat at the front post, which he absolutely shouldn't do

Tbh and with perfect power and placement.

I don't think this was even mentioned (and I understand why), but after his penalty save against Milan, he overtook Pagliuca as the keeper with the most saves from the spot in Serie A history with 25 in 481 games.

I don't think there's anything he could have done for either goal tonight.

He's finished.

Why you mad ? You don't know Gerivnho ? What Handanovic can do if Gerinvho shoot against him. Even you put Oblak there, he still score against Inter.

Why has Handa been here for as long as he has? Because he would stop the unstoppable. Made him top 5 in the world. Saved whole seasons on last match day with heroics

He's not doing ANYTHING wrong. But he's also not doing anything heroic either. And to me, that's not enough for a team who wants to win trophies. Adios Handa.

Handanovic was the least problem today, i disagree to blame him. Our problem are bigger than Handa. The whole defense.

If you include tonight's game, Handa has the second worst save to shots against ratio in the league ....... Donnaruma has the 2nd best. You see now what I mean ????? Look where Milan are

he's 36. It's crazy for us to rely exclusively on a 36 year old keeper tbh. When Toldo was 34 we hadd Julio Cesar signed..

Problem is we rely that he'll bail us out few times a game. Handa is not a problem. At all.

I agree. Handa still bails us out quite often. But we cannot expect this every game. This poor start to the season is not coz of Handanovic.

As the captain and respected player that he is, he needs to speak up about our awful play. Bitch slap everyone in the locker room and get our team to wake tf up. Because conte clearly isn’t capable of doing that. The responsibility largely falls on him as captain to get the team mentality right. If he won’t do that maybe he shouldn’t be captain.
