SE SALTELLI....
To bad the kiwis n aus are on the same side of the draw. A NZ vs AUS final would have been epic...oh well. I'll be surprised if aus win, but I'll be hoping they do.

If it's any consolation Wales, you wouldn't make it to the football World Cup final with 14 players on the pitch either.

They had their chance to win it but they lost it the same way they lost 2009 triple crown to Ireland in 6 nations.

I was playing football right beside the stadium where Ireland played Wales. I finished my match when Ireland was leading and arrived at home just to find out Wales won 23-21. :palm:

I'm bumping this thread from the grave because I have a question for you Aussie's (plus I'd like to discuss rugby with my fellow Interista's).

So Nick Cummins is leaving Super Rugby, and besides him being a great player for both club and country he also has some of the best interviews in sports. I was sad to hear he's leaving Western Force for Japan, although he has great reasons because he needs the money to help his sick family. But there's one thing I don't get, why can't he play for Australia in test matches and of course the World Cup? Does the national team only select their domestic players or is there a weird reason? If so, I feel bad for Aussie players who play abroad or in the NZ and SA super rugby divisions.

NZ. SA and Australia have strict rules for eligibility (only playing players who play there domestically are eligible) this is because they need this incentive because otherwise they wouldn't be able to compete with the huge money offered in Europe and Japan. So basically it's for the benefit of their national championships and Super Rugby.

And it works. Super Rugby is the perfect breeding ground for their players. Those three nations are typically the strongest. Especially NZ

Thanks Shaun, didn't know that. I always thought there was more money in Super Rugby considering it's the biggest league in the world.

I'm glad England won today. I really want them to have a strong year and win the world cup. I'd hate to see New Zealand lift the trophy for the second consecutive time.
