Would you buy Lukaku this summer?

Better than Dzeko tbh, but that's not saying much. Did well to get in positions like Lautaro, but finishing was abysmal.

Big Rom becomes minuscule in the big games.
Sorry Romelu, even if I think you are genuinely a good guy, which today is not a small thing. But you really killed our hopes. Thank you for the memories but it`s time to say good-bye.

Say what you want about his inability to finish in big time games; we all know about that. But this guy has the worst luck in the world. Whether it's wrong-footing his own 'keeper or blocking would-be goals (TWICE!) in elimination games, it's just astonishing. Being a flat track bully isn't a bad enough stain to be left on his legacy, he also gets to be remembered as someone who might as well be sabotaging his team too when they look set to get goals they badly need (or badly need to not concede).

His lack of awareness and lack of clinical finishing is what made this a very weird final for him.

I think it's time for him to leave.

I still think he should have started the game. Would have preferred to have that constant threat from the first minute. He’s a choker but there’s less pressure in the 15th than the 88th.

Inzaghi basically set the game up to bring Lukaku on and win it late. You could tell by the way he was hugging him on the sideline before he came in. The pressure was too much apparently. I also think it impacted the team (Lautaro) because when you don’t really threaten for large parts of the game when the chances finally come you’re more frantic.

The one positive is that this game cratered his value and we can probably afford him again.

He should be our second priority after Thuram.

he played for 40 minutes and enter the game when it is 0-0. good enough time to warm the body and get to any rhythm. even the midfield and wings for inter worked better in the second half as the game open up so i dont really see why lukaku not starting from the first half become an excuse

his finishing is atrocious in this game. that killed some attack momentum and getting other players desperate too. even when he is winning the ball, he don’t exactly beat his marker or hold the ball opting to shot early. his goal markmanship in this game is totally off like he is nervous. totally a let down as he is expected to be attacking reference point.

his free header straight to keeper is total disapoinment. dzeko would have bury that. would be hard for lukaku to improve anymore at his age. we should move on the project with new striker and let lukaku return to chelsea. would only take him back if he is free with reduced non superstar salary.

If you repeatedly make the same mistakes over and over again, it shows a lack of self reflection. When you listen to lukuku's interviews over the years - he's all words, no action. Which should come to no surprise why he keeps choking, and why he lacks awareness in front of goal...

Inexcusable and he should just fuck off out of Inter -

I don't think that he blocked a 100% a goal shot. There was a City defender on the line, and the header was too weak anyway. But, he should have buried his chances, as well as Lautaro.
Blocking Dimarco header was not the problem, wasting that free header was. Dimarco's header was going to be blocked by City's defender anyway.

I'm saying the same. At the end the difference of the quality was decisive.

I think Lukaku was okay in the final, but we needed him to be decisive and that he wasn't.

In the end Lukaku had the most shots of all of our players, but those weren't good shots at all.

So now he ruined both an EL and a CL final for Inter.

Do us all a favour and jump of a bridge.
