#90 was attempted to become popular by Nike iirc in...1990.
Ever since there were several attempts by Nike and others to use this in football.

Nike released the Total 90 shoes 10 years after their Air 90 Max, they had those cute little colorful balls with 90 on them. I guess as there are 90 minutes in a game, it made sense to make this a thing.

I think Lukaku is sponsored by Nike, I know we are sporting their jerseys as well, so perhaps that was the driving force behind accepting that number.

Of the starting 11 numbers only 2 are almost the starting players for Inter: #2 and #10. And even Dumfries has been benched for Darmian before the Skriniar injury. So of the first eleven numbers only one player can be called a defnite starter: Lautaro.

So I don't think having the #90 has anything to do with that. Just for some odd reasons the players love to choose awkwards numbers for themselves at Inter. To me it looks ridiculous to see all of these numbers on our starting eleven.

Wait did brozo not take 77 cause 11 was taken when he arrived? at least i think he said something like that in an interview if i remember correct..
Barella has 23 cause of LBJ/Jordan
And my best guess for lukaku is that he just went with 90 cause 9 was taken, i guess same is true for hakan and the 10 he usually wears.

Splendid. So we want to keep Lukaku and extend Dzeko and our chances of signing another forward count entirely on offloading useless Correa.

We were dropping points against anyone in the league for two months because our forwards couldn't score for shit but sure. Let's keep everyone in attack.

If keeping him for another year, at least, and only pay his salary and maybe a few millions to Chelsea is a bad thing, what other choices do we have? Zhangs seeing $$$ and selling Lautaro is a real possibility, Dzeko is getting old, Correa better leave, who are we gonna sign? Don't give me primavera players, we've not promoted any strikers in years. At least he wants to be here, and gives his all.

As frustrating he was at times this season, he did try his best, and when he gets into his rhythm, both mentally and injury wise, he is a beast.

Honestly I'm really open to suggestions.

I start to have the same thoughts.
I don't expect him to return to the impact he had under Conte. But if he gets into his rhythm, he still could be very useful.
If Lautaro is sold (Zhang won't say no to big $$$), Correa fuck off, then I coul see a combination of Lukaku, Firmino, Dzeko and Rategui.
It still depends how much money we want to give to these guys.
