Well, he isn't. You're underestimating Neymar's output rate. Especially in CL where Neymar is one of a few who have more G+A than games.

this is what I don't get. Everyone acts like lukaku is some goal scoring machine that's irreplaceable when in fact he only scored one more goal than martinez from open play with more minutes on the pitch aswell. Plus martinez is much more of a big game player too. I am very confident everyone will soon forget about him when they realise the core of the team is still intact and in no way was lukaku "dragging" inter to a scudetto.

That’s all fine and good if you’re looking only at goals. Factor in assists, second assists, and general playmaking, and he was vital to a huge number of goals he didn’t score.

If USG% was a thing in football, you'd not be saying these things.

Almost the entire volume of our attacks explicitly went through Lukaku. Lots of the goals/dangerous attacks we conceded also came that way.
