I’m impressed he didn’t outright demand to leave immediately. I’d have been on the first flight out in his shoes. Due to the fact we’re going to buy trash for his replacements, this might go down as one of the worst deals in club history. And that is unbelievably difficult when you sell a player for over 100 million.

Great deal financially.Thank you and goodbye.

Only sad thing is that we should sold Lukaku first without selling Hakimi.

Now bring Zapata or some similar proper replacement.

Biasin is saying the middle management is disappointed that there's no resistance from the owner and Lukaku himself, so stop the narrative that he is forced and he's a saint. He's a selfish footballer and there's nothing wrong with that .

Wow. It's done. I can't enjoy this sale cuz we lost Hakimi and i'm afraid we're going to sign Zapata for big bucks.

I voted former players. He did great for us domestically but didn’t real over on the European stage. At the end of the day he could refuse to leave too but I respect his decision.

Best of luck next season and beyond.

I know this is less than the rumoured 130m ask, but still 115m+bonus is a good deal by Inter financially, specially in this climate. This will make Lukaku the most expensive deal in Serie A and EPL history (assuming there are bonuses, coz Grealish holds the current record at 117.5m). Also coz we bought him for 75m, he scored tonnes of goals for us and helped us win the Scudetto, and we sold him for 40m "net profit" (of course, plusvalenza is much higher). Thank you Lukaku, and best of luck!

Of course, we can still and probably will fuck this up. How we spend this money will determine our immediate future.

But let's not make him the victim who was forced out of the club.

Respectfully disagree. Sure, he could've said "no" that could've been that. But...Inter could've said "no" when Chelsea first offered in the first place. But they didn't say no, they said "keep talking". And I'm going to remain on that general POV that says "sure, [Rom] might've been happy to be here, but if his employer keeps soliciting offers to sell him, eventually he's going to say 'fuck you' and accept". You might love your job, but if your employer apparently looks at you more as €€€'s than as a player, you're probably going to eventually reconsider how much you really want to keep playing for them, you know?

Inter gave him every reason to accept a move.

Man just slaughtered Milan in every match he played. 5 consecutive derby goals. A record. He & Sheva were alike. Both sets of fans feared them.

Unfortunately the record income will not be invested properly, as it should for champions after 10 years.

Messi's gone from LaLiga, BigRom gone from Serie A. MF MVPs.

Grazie, BigRom.

I dont know where the narratives that Biasin is tier 1 come from. But I always find his news either offers nothing new or flat out wrong or just makes no sense in this case.

Who the fuck would be resistant to 12m/year and 115m? and Marotta of all people is disappointed of this? Dont fucking make me laugh. Other than the fans, I cant see anyone unhappy with this deal.

Former player. Doesn't stay long enough to deserve La Grande.

Great player. A class act through and through. An absolute professional who showed passion wearing our colors with pride. Thank you for everything Big Rom. Wish you well at Chelsea.

But like every star striker we have had in past, Lukaku is of course not indispensable. It's time to move on. I am not okay with Zapata. Not that he isn't a good striker, but I'd prefer Belotti anytime anyday. A solid Italian number 9. Ambidextrous, great aerial ability, acrobatic, quick but also strong. A prolific striker.

the thing that makes me mad the most is that we could have kept hakimi.

I would have sold him instead of hakimi for even less but oh well.
Nah, doesn't change anything. We would have still sold both of them regardless of who goes first. Don't be surprised if Lautaro is next. We are pretty much selling all of our most valuable assets now.

I mean Marotta might be disappointed with the fact that he can't reinvest properly.

But that's not what some of the user believes here, some people here actually think a player would turn down an 5m raise on his boyhood club to stay here? Lmao
