Yeah, because the reason behind his presence in EVERY match is that he Have to play anyway. And you're right, stankovic is the only player in the team that has a undifined role. His role is Vagrancy!

Last time I checked, Spalletti had a chance to win a trophy last season, but lost to Mancini.

Oh and one more thing. Roma's keeper Doni is terrible! Every time i've seen him play he's looked nervous. Does he know that you're allowed to catch the ball? He insists on punching, even when he's under minimal pressure!

The only thing he caught was Zlatan's feeble penalty!

Well, you got the better of us again. We lost taddei and Mancini early on that sucked, but you prob deserved it in the end, and just edge it.

Yeah mate, that didn't help Roma at all. On top of that Totti didn't do anything against us. Thank god, we played a very good game, otherwise it would had been very worse to not get the 3pts against last night's Roma.

I didn't have a chance to watch, gret win.
How Maxwell played?

He just got to play for 5 minutes. On one occassion, he showed a glimpse of his olf-self when he got past 2/3 Roma players.

From what i hear u guyz got lucky whit roma,and i see here some diferit opions some of you say u owned them some of you say that they dominated ..either way its 3 point for you guyz,i would have wished for a draw.

We were unlucky when Zlatan missed the penalty, when Zanetti's shot hit the post and on few other occassions.

I am very happy that Zlatan's proving most of the posters here wrong by being a consistent performer since he joined Inter. He has given a different dimension to our attack and I love watching him. Too bad he missed the penalty, which could had put us in a big trouble.

Zanetti's long shot was a great one, too bad we will have to wait a bit more long for his goal (as he said)

Vieira and Grosso also played very well, along with our other defenders. As for Stankovic, I am not sure if he did well or not.:mute:

Anywaz, lets hope we play well and win against Chievo as well, otherwise this win would be of no value.:stuckup:

Cordoba and Materazzi :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: Man, I want more of these performances, both were great.

I have to single out Cordoba since he was disappointing me alot. Today his pace was breathtaking, his timing was impeccable and his positioning was spot-on.

Beating Roma at the Olympico in these circumstances is HUGEEEEEEEEEE. But to be fair, their depth killed them.

Vieira :star: :star: :star: The Man was eveywhere. It was the archtypical Vieira game: not afraid to tackle, covers himself and another player, not afraid to go forward and gets ejected.

However, De Rossi the mofo took a dive in Vieira's 'last chance' and to me it seems Montella exaggerated the tackle. But LOL @ Vieira shoving off the 4th official, I bet the poor man is having nightmares about Materazzi and Vieira now.

Also, I want JZ or Mancini to come out publically and criticize how referees are treating Zlatan and Vieira. Anything either of those players make is considered a foul, this is really unfair.

Furthermore, I hope Zlatan doesn't take a PK again. It should be Materazzi then Grosso like someone mentioned, PERIOD.

Finally, Stan disappointed big time. For his sake, I hope he plays more as a RW since he just isn't cutting it at LW, he is just predictable.

actually the referee is too harsh to zlatan.any contact with the opponents zlatan made was considered a foul by the referee.but I do think vieira deserved that red card and he must manage to his temper and stop complaining to the referee again and again

erm, its only logical for a team who in their previous two matches- it lost 1 and drew the other game against poor opposition and then the next match it is facing arguably the second toughest league opponent (away) where we haven't won a League match away for years for forumites/fans to predict a loss....I don't see it as anything but that, what do you expect, all of us to come out say that we think we're gonna win 5-0?

Also, nowhere have I read that Maicon was a hero, also not many have said that Maicon is sh1t even after our last few performances, all that has been said is that we'd rather Zanetti play right back. Maicon had a good game and deserves to be praised, once again, no logic in your comments.
Crespo always was a great player, I haven't read many diss him, if anything, his last performance was disappointing, thats it.

What about Vieira? the guy is a World Cup winner, Euro winner and a champion, I don't like him but he's a great player....he has been disappointing lately but was massive last night, once again, deserves to be praised.

What about Stankovic? I thought he was poor as usual.

Also, once again, 80% of the forum still wants Mancini out in the next 12 months or so, he's an idiot, but his tactics worked for him and the team, thus he deserves to be praised.

I don't understand your post, are you suggesting that whether we lose or win, we should keep the same opinion.....in other words, if Crespo has a bad game and we are disappointed with yet he scores a hat trick in the next match, we should still be disappointed with him?

its only logical for fans to praise players after a good performance and have a go at them for a poor performance, its called emotions.

Anyways, I just finished watching this game and I must say we did play quite good. I was worried after seeing the starting lineup, but the entire team looked ready from the beginning. Of course we we're helped by Roma having to make do without Taddei and Mancini (for all but 20 minutes) but those are the breaks. Totti was completely invisible tonight.

Still a great win and a much needed 3pts. However, this being Inter, don't be surprised if we show our "consistency" and get a draw vs Chievo or something.

What you mean just tonight Brad?? Go and compare Mancini vs Spaletti i am sure you will find mancini's record vs Spaletti is quite good.

Mancio has a better edge over Spaletti, but both are young, Spaletti in comparison also seems to have a better technique because Roma gave sometimes better football than us, and he has a solid stable formation, Mancio is all over the place with his unstable formations and tat's why our football is sometimes not that good, because the playrs are changing all the time.

I haven't seen the first half, how was it??? I saw the second, we looked great in it. The starategy was to slow the tempo, and our team did it. And they created few chances.

Personally, I was impressesd by Cesar, he did some great saves last night...

I also liked how Ibra and Vieira played, our new signings from JuBe... Espetially Vieira, who made great tackles, and stopped Romas attacs even in the midfield.

Mancini made some good tactics too... I just think that he should've put Maxwell earlier. So that he can get to know with our play, and get back to form.

lol ok, reading the posts, i can see some people clearly din't watch the match.
Inter did NOT dominate the first half, it was very balanced, both teams looked like scoring. Roma went close with a Totti free-kick and Mancini snuk in later. But the game was over when Crespo scored. Again it was fairly balanced in the 2nd, but Inter looked more dangerous upfront then Roma. So saying you dominated, your going over-board a little. It was a close game. Wat killed us was Mancini and Taddei both out. Although the only good point is that Montella had a good game, and that its very early on in the season.

Ibrahimović - Crespo are doing just great all season,and so they did yesterday

I want to say that dacourt is very important there,and now everyone can see how important is to have holding midfielder. even when cambiasso returns, Dacourt should still play (with vieira and cambi in front of him),but we need one more HM so bad

It's nice to see that we can beat Viola and Roma on their grounds,so let's keep winning like this and kill matches off earlier so we don't suffer like in Sampa match
