Well, you got the better of us again. We lost taddei and Mancini early on that sucked, but you prob deserved it in the end, and just edge it.

The season is still early, and it wil change again im sure ;)

Congratz, we will see each other later

FORZA ROMA PER SEMPRE !!!!!!!!!!!

Hardluck Giallrossi.

I think Roma were unlucky to lose Taddei before the match and Mancini during the match. They were also not helped by facing a BIG Inter today.

I think Inter played a great match and won on very tough ground. the line-up was a bit suprising to me and at the begining I was so displeased with it. However, Mancini's tactics worked and the lads had a great game so I have tp congragulate the whole team for that.

Zanetti was a given a (free role) in this match and he did very well in the middle of the park. He was also unlucky not to score from that great shot tha hit the post! :wallbang:

Now lets look ahead to Sunday's game against Chievo as we need to be CONSISTANT and not blow everything again. We also must think about the massive champions league game against Bayern next Wednesday and we also must win this at all costs!!

I don't think we can ask Stankovic to be the player who link midfield with attack, he is not a very creative player and that's not his job.
Today the best thing was the defence for me. Materazzi still improving and Cordoba fast as always....

And yes, Roma miss Mancini and Taddei, Montella is out of form, Okaka still young and Totti (he is the best player of Serie A along with Kaka for me..) but today he was invisible

lol and we missed Cambiasso who is by far a better player then Dacourt.

and then we got Vieira sent off which mean we have no other choice then to play with Dacourt and Deki in the middle in the next two games  So why did we sell Pizarro, stupid if you ask me we could really have used him now.

This is exactly what is my problem with mancini his loyality to the players not for the good of the club .... this think called deki was tried in every midfield position he was even tried in an attack role at one stage in last season and he always sucks - he is no an Inter material he does not do any think special if we needed workhorse as u uys cal it there is Tejani and also there is Maroufi .... if we need a defensive mid field we can even use mariano if we a need wingers we have many of the ..... I don't know why he is here every time .....on tight games and when it really matters every single players is responsible for the difference we make luckily today the other team mates carried on with his presence...

Interesting match! Inter could score more goals. If anyone except Ibra took that penalty Inter surely could score more!

Javier Zanetti,
I'm convinced Javier Zanetti could be put as goalies and he'd excel. This man is a living Inter legend, its a shame he couldn't get a great goal today if not for the post. Doni would've looked foolish.

How can you critiscise Mancini for his selections in a great game we just won?!?!?! And Julio Cesar, one 'awkward' save and he still gets stick - and this coming from someone from prefers Toldo...

To those that actually had some faith in Inter prior to this game, well done. To those of you who didn't, lets hope you learn some lessons. Don't let the media tell you that we're in a crisis after a 1-0 loss in the champions league, and a draw. There is no need to sack the manager after one sub-par match, and one unlucky performance.

Tonight Inter were magnificent. We were in total control from start to finish. We certainly deserved at least one more goal, but 0-1 is fine! Just some thoughts on the match:

- Julio Cesar was tremendous. He was decisive with his decision making, and his distribution was really good. He's definitely our number one on that performance. Keep it up.
- Ivan Cordoba was brilliant all match. I lost count of how many Roma attacks he stopped with his speed. Marco Materazzi was also excellent. He's in great form, and deserves to start ahead of Samuel.
- Grosso played his best game for Inter so far. He's still not at his World Cup level, but he showed good signs.
- Vieira & Dacourt were warriors in the middle. Vieira was a little unlucky to be sent off, but he needs to be more careful.
- Stankovic... same old i'm afraid. He fights hard, you can't question his heart. I'm just worried about his performances, it doesn't look like he has a defined role.
- Ibra is in good form. He looks very dangerous. I was never comfortable with him taking the penalty. He's not a great shot, so i'm surprised he was so determined to take it. I can't understand why Materazzi or Grosso didn't take it. I mean, they've proven themselves on the biggest stage of all!
- Crespo is just a gem. He's so lethal inside the area, which is something we've missed since he was sold last time.

Just to finish, I want to say well done to Roberto Mancini who totally owned Spalletti tonight. The formation used looked a little unorthodox, but it was clearly very effective.

FORZA INTER!

To those who said they dont believe in us winning this one or saying roma has a better team here right in ur f*cking face, we owned and destroyed the romans!!!!!!

Legends just f*cking legends from:

Javier Zanetti, man what a cracking shot inshallah he will score soon so I can see this incredible human being celebrate a goal of his own after a long time.

To

Crespo and Ibrahimovic, these 2 are really starting to form a deadly partnership, Im afraid Adriano could become Solari's best friend.

Lets own Chievo now and after that the big one. And please coach Vieira and Cambiasso are out so give Solari a god damn chance !!

Julio Cesar isn't better then Toldo. He's clumsy and short, IMO. Since when is a win flawless? If this was the case, we might as well close this thread as everyone should be singing Mancio praise and what not.

What a difference our strikeforce is this season. Crespo and Ibrahimovic are slowly going to become a duo worth mentioning as one of the best in the world and certainly are born and bred to play in Italy. It's dissapointing to see Ibra miss a penalty kick, but it did not put him down and he fought even harder the rest of the game. Forgive me for dissing the "great" Obafemi Martins or Julio Cruz, but this is what is going to win us scudettos. Class, and nothing else!

Refreshing indeed to have a squad full of champions. Vieira to me was MOM and his sending off is a reflection of how hard he played and how dominant he was in the midfield. Never giving in to any loose balls, just a total enforcer. Legend!

harsh on Julio Cesar fellas, he kept a clean sheet and made some very good saves, he put his body on the line and was not afraid....I don't know what more you can ask for.

Fabio, I'm not criticising Mancini, well yeah I am, but I only saw two mistakes he made today....a) Zanetti not at right back, yeah Maicon had a decent game, but he only had a decent game after Amantino Mancini got injured. b) the constant obsession with Stankovic, I don't mind if Stankovic plays in the middle or the right, but Stankovic did nothing today or in the past 4 games.....surely time to give others a go? is Stankovic indispensible ?

i saw this as a game we totally dominated,1st and 2nd half,

what about mancinis tactics today, what did he get wrong?:D :D :D

as far as stankovic is concerned i dont really think he had a shit game,

catanha im trying to be objective and unbiased but i think you are unfair.

what are you guys really expecting from him,to dribble a whole team and score?

he did allright, and if anyone says other wise i think its totally uncalled for.

like chris said in his earlier post stankovic is the only player in the team that has a undifined role, call him what you want,a wing,a cm whatever but he is everywhere

just dont criticise a workhorse, who means alot to our team

Yeah mate. I think he has plenty of heart, and he has a place in the team. I'd just like to see him given a chance in one position for a month or two. I still think he's best suited in central midfield. Ironically his downfall is probably that he's too versatile. He certainly didn't have a terrible match, but I just have no idea what his role is.

you misunderstood me Benny.
I said I don't mind if Stankovic plays in the middle or the right and does his usual workhorse routine, but I didn't even seen him make a decent play or involved in holding Roma back once. I'm not blaming that on him, as I said, I blame Mancini because you could just see Stankovic was lost, he had no idea what his role was. Stankovic needs a role, he needs to play central midfield against Chievo because he has to against Bayern.

fair enough catanha,i just think he does too much when the cameras arent on him

when i was in italy this year everybody was calling dejan a joker,

not a joker as a funny bloke but as a joker who pops up everywhere and anywhere needed,

sort of like a band aid, need something fixed whack stankovic on it.

further to the point i think peoples views on dejan should change,he is not a playmaking midfielder and shouldnt be labelled as such.

as soon as SOME people realise this, his contribution and OVER ALL play would be greater appreciated.

btw he was crossing ok in the first half

He is an ALL-midfielder, like for example Seedorf, they can play everywhere in the midfield except in the DM, like i said before, today Stankovic had the work normally Figo has (connect midfield with attack, today the attack was ONLY the 2 strikers and when Maicon and Grosso go up), and i have no idea why Mancio don't put Figo instead of him...... but i'am happy cause i always rather to see Stankovic instead of Luis in the lineup cause he works much more... i'am tired of see Figo losing the ball and keep watching it without moving, i HATE IT.

Julio getting attacked? That's a disgrace. He played very well today and made some good important interceptions.

Anyway, was this one of the first ever games Mancini got his tactics right?!? I mean we actually played posession football and created proper chances. We just need to move that into Europe.

Vieira was a star, he made some great tackles. Ibra did plenty magic, Crespo equally as good.

Javier Zanetti,
For me, I'm very happy how Crespo seemed to have the beating of Mexes everytime. Mexes honestly in his life must have never had to contend with anything like Crespo in his young career. He was totally out smarted, bamboozled and made a child of. Chivu tried to cover for him, but he equally became helpess under Crespos sieges.

Key word being "tonight". Spalletti is still superior to Mancini.

Anyways, I just finished watching this game and I must say we did play quite good. I was worried after seeing the starting lineup, but the entire team looked ready from the beginning. Of course we we're helped by Roma having to make do without Taddei and Mancini (for all but 20 minutes) but those are the breaks. Totti was completely invisible tonight.

Still a great win and a much needed 3pts. However, this being Inter, don't be surprised if we show our "consistency" and get a draw vs Chievo or something. :p
