Perhaps it's a reaction for what Recoba said yesterday, although I don't wish to speculate in why.

Recoba was fit for the Derby. He couldn't possibly be injured in such a short period of time.

.......

Or could he? :|

Dont forget that every coach likes to have his own set of players...when u change a coach..u inevitably end up changing half the squad....

Throwin out Mancini and getting Mourinho would also mean a long long transfer season..............

bringing mourinho in would practically beg inter to start playing 4-4-1-1, and frankly inter have no wingers, with figo leaving and solari practically useless

it would help in bringing in terry though

I wish he and Moratti would stop being so coy about this contract extension. They should both agree to stop answering questions on the subject till the deal is done and dusted.

Miha?

Orsi left in the summer and was supposed to be the coach of some Serie A team but then some shady stuff happened and he got screwed over. Anyone remember exactly what went down there??

If Mancini stays next year I want the fackin CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. U hear me Roberto the CL I want that and If u dont provide us with that next season I better not catch a plane to Milan.

But seriously I really do think Mancini should at least get another season and another shot at the CL. If he fails next season then we should talk about possible replacements because to be honest the chance of him leaving us at the end of this season is VERY VERY SLIM.

What makes some members here think that Mourinho/? will bring Champions League Trophy ?? Yeah, he won it with Porto but did he win it with Chelsea ? It was Barcelona last time and they were again knocked out this time but that's Champions League, where every knockout-stages are decided by 120minutes (sometimes more) of football.

Not that we have had a good Champions League Campaign but I just wanted to say that even a long run of consistency won't give you Champions League, coz you also need LUCK in that. It's different in group phases, just like in the Serie/? League but once the knockout stages start, it's totally different.

Anywaz, Mourinho is the only coach I wouldn't mind replacing Mancini. Then again, I think it would be a bit stupid not to continue with Mancini.;)

Well said Pravesh. Mourinho isn't going to bring CL victory to us, only discipline and controversy. Could you imagine what the media would say if Inter got Mourinho and noteven win the league?!

Either way, Mancini is doing very well right now and no one should be criticizing what he has accomplished just because he hasn't won the CL for us in the past 3 years.

We should be so lucky to have a young Italian coach who is and was also a great player.

Good post, Pravesh!

It seems that winning the CL is being viewed as an easy achievement here. But no. Even if you have Rinus Michel, Helenio Herrera, Fabio Capello and Jose Mourinho combined, all it takes if for your team to fuck up for a game and then you're out. In a 2-legged tie, you can even perform well for one match and like fuck in the other leg but you can still qualify.

Winning the CL takes a lot of fortune, since it has little to do with consistencies. And we all know that Lady Luck has long deserted us.

Don't be greedy. Mancini is doing extremely well this season and as good as Mourinho is, I believe Mancini has won the rights to sit on our bench for next season.

To make an analogy, I think wanting to replace Mancini with Mourinho is like wanting to replace Ibrahimovic with Totti. Totti has a much illustrous history and it is arguable who's better between the two but even if Totti is better, since Ibra has done well for us, we shouldn't change it. If it ain't broken, why fix it? And like I already said, don't say that our team is broken just because of a CL exit.

However, whether Mancio wants to do that or not, is another different matter. Let's hope for the best.

CL?? its not that easy..Sir Alex with Man.United for more than 20 years

he won it once.

we r talking about Mourinho, nt Fergie

Mourinho won it with Porto and the Cup, the year before with the same outfit - so consistency is there.

Yes he did not win it last year - but then he came up against the gr8 Barcelona team not Villareal.

and a CL semifinal the year before.

All this points to proven pedigree.

Don't be greedy. Mancini is doing extremely well this season and as good as Mourinho is, I believe Mancini has won the rights to sit on our bench for next season.

Cuper was 3rd and 2nd in league 2 years in a row, uefa cup SF and CL SF 2 years ... yet we got Zac/Mancini

What makes some members here think that Mourinho/? will bring Champions League Trophy ??

It is not the confidence of winning the CL - it is the competing in Europe to be a contender for CL.

Chelsea, Porto has always been competitive in Europe unlike us.

We should be so lucky to have a young Italian coach who is and was also a great player.

Since when has being Italian and a good player a criteria for having sum1 on the bench?

Sayak, I do understand your point. BUT !!!!!

What you are forgetting is that we can't compare our Inter with other great clubs of Europe and the obvious reason being that we haven't even won the Italian league since ages. We are about to win the league after a long long time and you are saying it's not enough.;)

It's different now and now we can think about Champions League as well but let Mancini take charge of the club instead of bringing yet another change. We won't only be changing the coach but the whole coaching staffs' department... Then, there will be excuses like it takes time to know the players, bla bla bla .... :wallbang:

As Handoyo said, why break it when nothing's wrong ?? For god sake, even in the absence of Juventus, we have a lead of a mammoth 18 POINTS to the second team in the league table !!!! And btw, the second team happens to be none other than AS ROMA, who got past LYON, a champions league contender. ;)

Next season will be very tough; with a rejuvenated AC Milan, new comer Juventus, AS Roma, Fiorentina-Palermo-Lazio-Napoli-... It won't be easy at all my friend, so we better continue with Mancini who knows the league pretty well. Mancini sometimes' irritating but no one is perfect and sometimes we should compromise, especially when he's done his job.

Anywaz, I am also against those who say that we won't be needing any change in the midfield coz I want to see a quality playmaker.:D

Last but not the least, I do feel that we will do much much better in the next edition of Champions League than this season.
