Would be an honour to witness his "ascend", now here's the door.

Sky says that ET is coming to Milano re- confirm Mancini at the helm of the squad and Ausilio and Mancini are already planning the next mercato as the club trusts Mancini.

Also expect us to sign Caner Erkin and fire the guy who likes him two months after said contract extension.

Diego Perotti spoke to Goal.com about the last summer mercato. During the interview, the Roma striker confirmed the real interest of Inter, completed with a telephone conversation between him and Roberto Mancini: “I listened to the proposals of Inter, Napoli and AC Milan. Inter came calling through Mancini, told me that they were very interested in me, they liked me, and that – but – they were waiting for a sale to get the money to finalize the operation. It happened during the preparation with Genoa, in the summer, though to be honest I have not heard from them. It’s all over there. “

Let's hope Real Madrid are delusional enough to sign Mancini AND pay us a compensation for his contract :trolldad:

Yeah. It's a woman. Her name is Teodora Stefanova. This is the link to the article.

Hahahaa! I know her. She's popular in Bulgaria like "the private clairvoyant" of Silvio Berluskoni. She gave in the past some predictions for Bulgaria and some events as well but as far as remember none of them was true. My personal opinion is that she is just one crazy women who Silvio used to fuck years ago.

Absolutely terrible decision to put on Murillo. I don't see the point in that change for this game.

Just making that one change has a huge effect as it changes everyone's position in the defensive line, including the wing-backs. There was no need for it either. If you need to, shore up the midfield either with Gnoukouri or Felipe Melo.

From what I recall, he put on Vidic against Wolfsburg to switch to 3 at the back and we conceded right away. All this substitution does is confuse the team unless you know well how to play in it the way Juventus does. Mancini's logic seems to be: Need to defend? Bring on an extra defender. Need to score? Bring on an attacker. It's not always like that and he constantly ignores the midfield.

From Mancini's interview:

'“We made life complicated for ourselves at the end in a game where we’d risked practically nothing. We cannot make mistakes like that when 2-0 up in the last three minutes…'

Yet he felt the need to switch to 3 centrebacks in a game where the team risked nothing, ridiculous logic.

He finally, for the first time all season stopped tinkering with the formation. We actually played the last three games with the same formation, up until that point we incredibly hadn't even done such in a single game. Yet Mancini just couldn't help himself & made that silly change to 3-5-2 in the dying minutes which almost lost us the game. Mancini your not being smart your being dumb.

I don't see bringing on another defender while 2-0 up with 5-10 mins remaining as that nonsensical.

The bigger question for me was in the rationale behind replacing Icardi with Kondogbia after the injury. If an injury in the first 10 minutes of the game makes you completely change formation (going from what looked like a 4-2-3-1, or possible 4-4-2, to a flat 4-3-3) when sticking to the same formation by bringing on Palacio is a very viable option, it suggests to me that the formation we started out with wasn't picked in accordance with a game plan chosen for this match . Then, taking Ljajic off when he was the only player capable of creating from open play really wound me up.

I think we were very lucky to have scored those corner goals. Ultimately, a bit of luck + the defence won us the game, as it or Handa has for most of our wins this season. Still a lot to be desired going forward thanks largely to uninspired tactical decisions, and I side with the Mancini-haters this time despite the win.

The problem is you shift the entire defensive line with that one change.

There was no reason for it. You could've gotten an extra body in midfield to have a more defensive shape. I just don't get the logic of it especially since this type of change in the middle of the match has cost us before, in the Wolfsburg game.

Eh we didn't change formation when Kdog came on btw. We all understand why he made the choice to bring on a defender for the last 5m, that doesn't make it any less nonsensical though. What I really don't like about such a change, is that it communicates a certain lack of confidence in the players, as well as it being an anxious move which sets the players nerves going & upsets our rhythm. Kdog's daft pass being a perfect illustration of this.

When you sub out a midfielder/attacker for a defender, you are basically inviting the opposition to attack you because you have one less player outfield who can be pressing the opposition and not letting them get close to the defense. Once the opposition gets near the box, your attackers and midfield have already failed.

Having more defenders doesn't equal having a better defense. Melo should've been subbed in to strengthen the midfield and take control of it.
