He wasn't that bad.. it's not as if Vecino was better but most people usually don't comment.

He did have a beautiful ball for Karamoh in that first half for the one on one he missed.

Other than that he wasn't worse than any of our other midfielders and he wasn't much better either.

He wasn't useless today but overall very BLAND, FORGETTABLE and INCONSISTENT midfielder.

What is his main characteristic?

Sadly this guy offered nothing today. Slow, clumsy, lost too many possesion, no vision as midfielder at all

Today, him and Cancelo were the best performers. He broke up many attacks and kept the possession quite well. How on earth he lost too many possession ??? :serious:. Hopefully he can keep up or improve his performance until Vecino returns.

I know that not every midfielder has to stand out, and that the main role of some is to make things jell, but it seems thats the only kind we have.

Seeing that nobody has taken a shit on him for his awful performance last night, Ill take one for the team:

This guy sucks, Idk what is going on in his head, but he has been declining super fast. Misplaced passes all over the place, bad positioning, and always having to recover from those two.
Poor Vecino has to actually work for two because Gag isnt even doing his task. We truly need another DM fast, because he is only making minutes now due to a lack of another CM.

Mediocre. We all thought he made Kondogbia look good, but maybe it was the other way around.

He is the epitome of nothing. It feels like we are playing with 10 players from the start. He has seriously regressed. The Inter loser mentality has finally gotten to him.

Not as useless as Mario or Kondogbia. His defensive work is alright. But he doesn't offer anything forward.

Gagliardini is fine as a DM and he can also move forward. The problem is not having someone to move the ball forward. And there's no one else to sit back when he might decide to go up front.

All this reminds me of the first Mancini era who stacked the team with athletic and physical central midfielders yet no one had the creative spark to move the ball in all directions and it was rather frustrating to watch occassionally, but we had individual talent up front and we actually had strong full backs after a while.
Borja Valero is good at keeping the ball, good at passing it but he's not a creative player. Otherwise he'd still be at Real Madrid.

i thought he was ok yesterday...when he left the pitch we lost the plot completely as Borja and Brozo were useless in holding up the fort...

His defensive contributions do unnoticed. He's really the only midfielder we have who is above average defensively.

I completely disagree, Vecino is a headless chicken who tends to press so high he leaves a huge hole in the midfielde, making a slow Gagliardini exposed to Milan’s counter attack.
