Cutting inside is not beating a guy. You can cut inside all day long, and you won't have the same effect when you actually BEAT a guy which makes you much more dangerous.

It's a tactical thing, just go and look for it guys.

He cut inside him and got past his defender...

Ok whatever. Lets say then, that he didn't "skipped" past his deffender, excluding cutting in.

I still don't agree, but I don't have time to explain.

He didn't got past the defender. He cut inside. It's different thing than going past the defender. Luka explained what I meant. Going past the defender is like what Maicon can do sometimes, he goes past the defender with the ball, then he can cross it to the box. I want this from Quaresma too, because he should have a good kicking technique so he should be a good crosser. So I want more crosses from him, so I want him go past defenders so that he can deliver crosses, a good crosses from good positions. To get to good positions, he needs to beat his man.

Quaresma cut in on the right but I clearly remember him beating Milan's LB in the 2nd half several times. Doing stepovers and getting past a guy, or kicking it and running like Maicon is in the end the same thing, you got past your defender and you created that extra bit of space for you to cross, take a shot or keep going.

Quaresma was quite good in match against Milan, he is in right road and I'm happy for this, also he is very very technique player so we losed Ibra maybe just he is now most technique player and this can help us much in Serie A and Champions League, I hope this season will be great for Ricky, he is great and I know he can do great matches but he need to adopt with Inter and this time I think he won't go down ;)

Forza Quaresma :star: !!!

I am just glad that he seems to get a little confidence back. He started actually dribbling and moving instead of looking lost all game.

Keep it up Ricky!

He was good, but still average but still did well.

Good, but average, but well :D, seems like you are contradicting yourself there.

Anyway, I'm glad RQ is doing better, saves us losing money from selling him, and actually gaining something from him.

No pressure :p

Cutting inside or beating his man, who cares? He didn't do either last year, now he is doing them.

I care. Quaresma isn't exactly a great passer in sense of middle play. But he's supposed to be a great crosser, which means he should get good crossing positions. For now, I haven't seen many times he getting such positions in his Inter career by beating his man.

That is what I expect from him next season.

If he creates chances for us, it doesn't matter in what way he does it...?

Quaresma is a winger, he should do most of his stuff on wing. When he cut inside he is "inflirtrating" AM spot, for either direct pass or shot.

All the wingers cut inside, but mostly they go on the wing, cross or try to beat their deffender and enter penalty box.

To be honest, I can't be bothered to care about how he does it as long as he indeed does it. It's wrong to limit him only to go outside the fullbacks.

You don't seem to understand the point. Which is that Quaresma is most effective when he can get to crossing positions, not when he cuts to the center. I'm not saying Quaresma should try to go past defenders only outside, but the basics of his qualities basis on that. His best qualities are not giving good passes in the middle of the pitch. This is why I expect more going past defenders on the outside so that he can give his good crosses. When he's on the left flank, he should cut inside to try his shot. Though he should get his shot on target too, haven't seen Ricky shooting the ball towards the goal many times.

Why does he have to do that? We have Maicon! I don't get the obsession with Quaresma crossing. Yes, it is great for us if he can indeed do it, but if he can combine with Eto'o/Milito (cutting inside) and Maicon (RB overlap) I don't see why it is a must that he goes around to cross.

I repeat, it's obviously great for us if he can do it, but I don't think it's that big a deal if he can create problems in other ways.

Honestly I don't give a fuck if he flip-flops on the center of the field, if he delievers. Agreed.

But the point was, that I would LIKE to see him do the stuff wingers usually do, and he hasn't done it yet. That was the discussion I was in.
