I can certainly see what he brings. He's pretty good defensively and is a way more defensive option in the midfield. Being 3-1 up with 20 minutes to go, I would much rather be bringing on Ramires than J. Mario for example

If it's just a dry 6 month loan I'd be okay with it. Even if I can't see where we can use him. Maybe if we go for a flatter 4-3-3 he could be used as a box-to-box player but I can't see him as a DM in Italy.

I think the free depth makes this worth it. Consider the game two weeks ago; we were an injury away from running out of midfielders
