Brazil held by Bolivia
Brazil were held to a 1-1 draw by Bolivia in their World Cup qualifier in La Paz.
Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira fielded an under-strength side with qualification to the World Cup already secured.
The World champions were without the likes of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Cafu and Kaka
for the tie giving some fringe players a chance to impress.
Brazil broke the deadlock on 25 minutes with fine free kick from Lyon midfielder Juninho Pernambucano.
Bolivia fought back and Brazil were indebted to Julio Cesar for making several top saves in the first half.
The home side drew level five minutes after the restart with substitute Jose Castillo superbly volleying home at the back post.
Castillo went close to firing Bolivia in front on 69 minutes with an acrobatic overhead kick which flew just inches wide of the target.
Adriano missed a golden opportunity to restore Brazil's lead on 75 minutes when he blazed wildly over from close-range.
The point lifts Brazil above Argentina at the top of the group on goal difference, but Argentina can regain top spot when they
play host to Peru later on Sunday.
Brazil complete their qualification campaign at home to Venezuela in Belem on Wednesday.
