Possible Database Error

Guys, as you should probably should know by now, the last week's worth of posts have mysteriously disappeared. The latest posted date was the 29th of January, which meant that everything posted after said date has been lost. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

I'm trying to get to the bottom of this problem; let's hope it never happens again.

I dont know if you guys did anything [after i was here earlier today - maybe six, seven hours ago], but back then the last posts were from january 20th. Now it´s january 29th.

Woah! I didn't know anything about that, Tommi, as I was away from the computer the whole day. I'm hoping that this incident is a one-off thing. We can't afford any more data loss in future.

It would be impossible to retrieve the data, since they are all extracted from the same database. I guess losing 5 days worth of posts beats losing even more; in that regard, I should say we were somewhat lucky.

Backuping is not an easy task, Helal. The file size is big and it takes hours to download. But, yes, during this "unstable" period, we'll do it more than before.

And in case you are wondering, the latest backup is from around 12 hours ago.
