fast, can score penalties, knows how to set other players, has more than decent control of the ball, can even score from first time volleys just like Lautaro

The more I watch Balogun, the less I'm convinced that he's any good.

For a promising striker I expect him to have some special qualities that one day can make him stand out. But Balogun is not particularly strong, not particularly fast, not particularly skillful not particularly creative and not particularly clinical. He's exactly what you'd describe as a run of the mill box striker. I can't remember anyone like him that eventually made it big. With only 15 non penalty goals last season, he's not prolific by any means either, it's Ligue 1 and his number is barely in the top 10. At his age Kane was already a superstar, how stupid that tifo guy was to come up with the comparison.

The only strikers that impressed in L1 last season were Openda and Wahi. They are both more prolific than Balogun, and have some special qualities. Openda is very fast and Wahi is very skillful. We should focus on these profiles and not Balogun.

Yeah I would rather take Openda, but Balogun is young and had 22 goal at 21 years old for Stade Reims. I totally think he is ready to take the next step and is better player than Thuram.

Another option would be betting on Lautaro as a main forward and bringing a creative SS (e.g. Joao Felix). Not very fond of the idea but i prefer it over going for players like Morata or Scamacca.

dont mind Felix, as a Correa replacement... But we all know that the Lukaku one will probably be his type of player, so someone tall and physical... Also, there could be Dybala in the mix again and for the 4th striker just get Bonazzoli.
with the money they wanted to spend on Lukaku, there's actually a lot they can do.

Dybala is another option but i am not really in favor of spending 20m on 29-year old injury prone Dybala. Dybala on a free made sense but now not so much.

I am also not the biggest fan of Dybala, especially cause of injuries, but I am thinking of what Marotta would like to do.... So names like Dybala, Morata and Scamacca will for sure be on the list and none of them make me very happy... Still, id take it, if it means not spending 40M on Lukaku.

Please don't get Taremi for two main reasons: 1) We shouldn't pursue players from the Portuguese league. 2) His finishing is awful, with big open goal misses. However, it is notable that he has a skill for diving in the penalty box and deceiving the referee.

Nah, sadly he doesn't look like the same player anymore.

Jovic needs to go somewhere he can play 30 games as a starter. Even then I don’t think he’ll ever be what he could have been but he needs consistency to get his career back on track.
