Bernadeschi at Fio was waaaaay more impressive than chiesa. He was more versatile playing RWB in the 3-x-x formation initially. Played winger, wide midfielder, and AM. More dynamic on the ball. Better dribbling. Better shot. Better vision and delivery of "key passes". Better free kick taker. I mean, it's not even close and he went for 40mil.

I'll say that chiesa is just a faster player, has 2 feet, and is more direct..

I disagree that Bernadeschi is more dynamic on the ball, I think that’s kind of what chiesa’s whole game is built around. Bernadeschi playing as a wingback in a 3-5-2 was some weird shit Sousa cooked up. Never looked overly comfortable there despite a few good Europa league moments. I do agree he is more versatile though, don’t think Chiesa could interpret the AM role as well as Bernadeschi.

If I want a winger I’m going for Chiesa though. Pace makes a hell of a difference in this game, especially when you know how to use it effectively. Bernadeschi uses his trickery to get out of tight spaces, but Chiesa can roast you and create a shooting opportunity. He also plays with an edge I just don’t see in Bernadeschi. Also I think the age thing is important. 20 vs 22 is a world of difference. Look at 20 year old Icardi in his first season at inter versus 22 year old Icardi who is capo.

Ante Rebic was good during the group stages when Croatia was playing on the counter. Not so much during the latter stages when the opponents were on the defensive. Otherwise, he's young and brings a certain directness when on the ball that can be valuable.

What do you guys think about, getting berardi instead of malcom? Berardi already plays in Serie A so we know what we can expect from him eventhough he can still improve a lot under spalleti. And he is cheaper than malcom i guess.

Eh, if we can't get who we want I'd rather we didn't waste money and save it in case of an emergency in winter. If Karamoh/Politano isn't working out by January we could panic buy a Berardi, we're quite good at those.

Probably because we’re still technically broke my man. I liked what I saw of Brandt at the WC but as others have suggested he’s way out of our price range. The only way we get Martial is selling Perisic, and I’m not convinced by Lozano. Fekir is something like €70m, and I don’t think anyone is accepting a loan+option move for Williams/Mina/Thauvin, and Bordeaux obviously aren’t for Malcolm

That being said, i'd love him, but won't happen. imo he is one of the best DMs in the world (there aren't many). His tactical awareness is excellent, his defensive play superb. Hence he has played as RB, RW, CB, even tho he is DM/CM naturally. He is also decent passer and his long shot are dangerous. Pretty perfect midfielder for us at this moment, but won't happen.
