They're so focused on Serie A and superiority of Italian coaches that i firmly believe if they decide to part ways with Inzaghi they will go for Ranieri because "he knows the league and they can't take risks".

I can't help but think you are absolutely spot on here.

I wouldn't even look at Italian coaches. The best of them are outside of Italy at the moment and are at clubs with far better prospects and finances.

Our best and most realistic option is Juric, forget about Pochettino, Tuchel and their likes, they are too expensive for us or wouldn't work with this management.

We cannot afford any mid/big name coach. We also don’t even know if they’d want to come to a known broke club. I fear some moronic appointment like montella or a ranieri-re-do. Chivu is primavera coach, so worst come to worse, make him caretaker. At least he has Inter in his heart and is a treble winner, maybe he’d check some of these players ego

But we have to pay Juric a good salary aswell. Its not like he's coming here getting the same contract. Inzaghi had 1.8M€ net @Lazio, we doubled it. Juric has 2M€ @Torino, we have to double it. To the same levels Inzaghi's getting now.

Obv mentioned expensive coaches are 100% not coming.

Inzaghi had a good debut year at a big club, won us 2 Cups, but the cracks are insane now. Our season is almost unrecovarable.

Also Torino aren't going to let Juric leave midseason. Juric is an option only for next summer. But can we really wait for next summer? So far there's no sign of any turnaround. Forget about Barca. If we drop points at Sassuolo, what do we do? Continue with Inzaghi because we can't afford the cost of firing him? What about the cost of missing on top 4?

the Souness logic
Also the Inter, and Italian, logic. We have always been like that regardless of directors. In the last 20 years we had only 4 coaches from outside Serie A. Cuper, Mourinho, Benitez, De Boer. If you take into consideration De Boer came at Inter only because of Kia and only an idiot would reject Mourinho in 2008 then we basically took 2 risks with coaches from abroad. 2 in 20 years.

the cost of missing on top 4 is bigger

Leonardo was a foreigner too, but he did come after coaching in Italy. Though to be pedantic he was out of job at the moment.

Yeah strange logic, despite our most successful coaches historically being foreigners. We are called Inter for a reason ffs! But nowadays the name is only on paper.

We need new coach who can adapt our players to different formation. Next season we are gonna lose 2 cbs so we should already try formation back 4. New coach who can make 4-3-1-2 work. Onana - Belanova(Dumfries) , Skriniar, Bastoni, Gosens -Barella, Brozo, Asslani - Hakan - Lukaku, Lautaro.. It cant be worse than what we are witnessing now.

Yeah, this is the acute problem. What if we don't win Sassuolo? We start to stay behind quite a lot suddenly. And of course the way we play tells a story.

IMO we weren't terrible against Roma and they just scored from their two chances. But every point loss will be just worse after another.

So if we play well enough, we should be able to beat Sassuolo. If we don't beat them, it means we haven't played well which tells the story of Inzaghi totally unable to turn this ship. Since Sassuolo is not at the level of even Roma or Udinese, let alone Milan.

I don’t want inzaghi fired until we get new ownership. Zhang isn’t hiring anyone of quality or ambition. Juric would be the absolute we could possibly do.

Man, I have a feeling zidane is similar coach to inzaghi. His tactics are probably "let's play football boys", that's sort of thing, with not much structure and strictness we evidently need. It worked in real madrid though, when you have everything lined up, and you just need a good motivator and his legend status.

Come on guys, you know that you'll hate all coaches that could arrive.

Name a shitload of coaches you want and you'll realize that the common denominator between all of them is that they've shown to achieve victory and they also had great financial backing. There's no outlier even. The guys you rate after a period of time aren't really winners (ie Pochettino, Spalletti last 10 years prior to coming to Inter, ten Hag etc) because all they did was exceed expectations or managed to win in different environments.

Does anyone rate Pioli for example? Not really. You want Guardiola, Klopp, Tuchel and all these other guys that reached success (in Europe mostly) due to the financial backing of their teams, plus that of their predecessors when it applies. Didn't see people rating Tuchel when he lost at home to Solksjaer's Manchester United in the CL either... Heck, some people even rate Zidane as a coach. Or even worse, someone like Valverde...

Unless we change ownership, no coach is going to be good enough.

Yeah, that is true. This current project is doomed in a sense that we ain't winning shit anymore. Now it's just about saving the season, ie. trying to finish to top4. And Inzaghi looks like he has simply lost the team so the change is necessary. Quality of the team is still good, but the team is not playing even 50% of its full capacity.
