Terrible weather and pitch condition for football. Difficult to build any proper attack, thankfully we created enough chances to score.
This is the kind of matches we usually draw or lose. However, Pioli really impressed me with his eyes for substitution and tactical flexibility. Again he enabled us to push for the win and then stay very compact to hold on to it.

I am really liking what I see from the kid too, but its just 3 games dude. He hasn't justified his 30m price yet. Lets wait till the end of the season at least.

And I wouldn't call him a DM - he is a makeshift-DM. Gags-Kdog works against the small teams, but I am not sure it will work against the top teams. I hope to be proven wrong, but IMO we will need a proper DM.

No they weren't. Both Perisic and Candreva were subpar today. Kudos to Candreva for managing to hit one accurate cross though, that's one more than his normal tally.

Important points in our tough mission. A win is always good but we didn't create much in this game, I mean in earlier games we had more chances and we were more dangerous. However we have traditionally struggled in Barbera, so glad that we won.

This Palermo will likely create problems to their opponents from now on. They have nothing to lose. Hopefully they can snatch a point at least in Napoli although seems impossible in paper, but you never know.

when it rains this much (I arrived home soaking wet) players with technical skills like banega and brozo have it worse, so i will cut them some slack for today's match.

this was more a kondogbia & joao mario kind of pitch, but I understand there was a need for rotation after the 120 minutes with bologna.

all in all, I would define this win as a "convincingly non-convincing win". what I mean is that we certainly didn't play our best match but big teams manage to win even in days like this: we never lost our shit today, not even after the red card to ansaldi. despite, i'll repeat it, most players had the 120 minutes of coppa italia on their legs.

so I'm very satisfied. and I also feel kinda euphoric but that might be a side effect of all the joints people were smoking next to me. blivious:
