There's a bigger chance of Martins calling Dacourt a dumb nigger than there is that Materazzi will, catanha ;)

Nothing more than a squad player. Shouldnt see too much of him in important matches and hopefully he will keep his mouth shut when it counts. He seems like the confrontational type on the field but hopefully he has enough respect for his new team mates to get along with them.

BRANCA: "WELCOME, DACOURT"
Saturday, 15 July 2006 12:24:23 APPIANO GENTILE - Marco Branca introduced new signing Olivier Dacourt in a news conference at Angelo Moratti Sports Centre following this morning's training session. "We have the pleasure of welcoming Olivier Dacourt, a new player at Inter for the new season", said the Inter technical director. "He has signed a two-year contract for us, but we hope we will be together for longer."

Sat beside Dacourt and Inter's transfer market consultant Gabriele Oriali, Branca continued: "You all know Dacourt very well as he has played in our championship for many years, always with great consistency and excellent results. We are happy that Olivier has chosen to continue his Italian career at Inter."

Coming up on Inter.it, Olivier Dacourt's presentation news conference

DACOURT: "NO COMMENT ON SENTENCES"
Saturday, 15 July 2006 12:49:43 APPIANO GENTILE - Part two of Olivier Dacourt's presentation news conference:

Who did you support in the World Cup final?
"I am French and proud to be. I obviously supported my country. But I also had some friends who were playing for Italy. I was a bit disappointed at the end of the game because I wanted France to win the World Cup. But this is football: Italy deserved to win six years ago at the European Championship but France imposed themselves, and the opposite happened at the World Cup."

What do you think of what happened between Zidane and Materazzi in the World Cup final?
"I wasn't on the pitch and I don't know what Zidane and Materazzi said to each other. But for children and everyone watching the match it certainly wasn't a nice incident. Zidane's wasn't a nice gesture, but I prefer to remember his last match with the 'cucchiaio' penalty kick."

Are you surprised by the football trial sentences?
"I prefer not to make any comment on all these things for now because there is still the appeal trial. It is not the right moment to talk, so let's wait."

DACOURT: "WHY I CHOSE INTER..."
Saturday, 15 July 2006 12:36:51 APPIANO GENTILE - Part one of Olivier Dacourt's presentation news conference:

Why did you decide to join Inter?
"Because I still haven't won a Scudetto in Italy and I want to be part of this project. It is a great team that I have come to know, and the chance of winning the Scudetto is a big incentive for me."

Roberto Mancini said yesterday that your ex-team Roma could be one of your closest rivals for the Scudetto. What do you think?
"Roma are certainly an excellent team. We did very well last season, but they have changed a lot of players now. I am only thinking about Inter now because I'm here, and if Roma do well then I'm pleased. But like I said, I'm just thinking about Inter now."

Did you have other offers before deciding to join Inter?
"I was out of contract and I had many chances to go and play elsewhere. But I really like living in Italy and Inter is a great team. This is the reason for my choice."

What do you think of the Inter environment? What are you expecting from this adventure?
"I am a football player. Whichever team you join, you just want to play. If we look at the Inter squad we can see that it is strong and competitive. I will have to train hard and aim to give my best when I have the chance to play. But the coach will decide, I'm just a player."

No you are not! Honestly, I haven't seen a complete DM like him in the EPL since he left. Yes, Makelele is excellent, but he doesn't have the finesse of Oli. And like Primo said, he has killer through balls.

Javier Zanetti,
dacourt is a disruptive influence in any squad at roma he went on strikes at leeds he got in to fights with team mates and i heard he's already had a scuffle with cordoba over a drink bottle, i mean how low can you get.

i wonder how will he perform at inter till now he hasnt showed what was the reason we brought him in.ajax was dominating midfield and was getting away from dacourt with ease so i dont understand why we sold the hammer he was way more better.

We didn't sell him. His contract ran out. We offered him a new deal, but, understandably, he declined and decided to go to Jube. He wasn't a starter and, honestly, he's not worthy of being a bencher at Inter. He deserves more.

Yeah, Durai is right.

I chatted the other day (on MSN) with Lee Bowyer and Toni (the waiter at the bar where Cordoba and Dacourt had a fight.) They both confirmed Dacourt's disturbing behaviour.

:D

Man Hamed how did no ones else pick up on this one yet? Plus you are so shooting shit with that joke man, we all know the source like most of the other interesting strories Durai seems to have are courtesy of:

www.durai_is_full_of_shit.com

Check it out man I cant get through one day with out having a gander at that site to get up on the latest player gossip. I mean did you know just last week Dinho and Eto'o got into a fight over a chess game? Apparently Dinho said check mate and Eto'o was like to hell with this and flipped the board sending peices into Dinho's face. A little fight ensued but Puyol and Marquez took care of it in no time when they power bombed the both of them for acting like retards.

i dont like dacourt as he is not providing the steel in the midfield like what we all wanted.he is letting people pass him easily.i thought he was really good as many people said he was fantastic at leeds thats why capello wanted him at roma.so i think this is a bad transfer for us.

I have never liked him. Not when he played for Leeds, when he played for Roma, and I don't like him now. I think signing him and Crespo are the two mistakes made this summer.

He actually seems like a really nice bloke. Was happy enough to chat & have a photo with me & Frisk whilst doing his shopping :D

But damn, he's REALLY skinny.

Anyway, I hope he pulls out some of his old performances when he gets the chance to play this year
