There's one thing I'll never figure out. Most Milan fans are happy about this deal, and if they aren't happy about it, it's due to their opinion regarding Vieri.

Not a single comment I've read, says that they are against this because it's an old Inter player. For God sake, if we signed a player from Milan, I'd go God damn bonkers. Most Inter fans would. Even if it would be Nesta.

What conclusions should we make out of that? That we as Inter fans are more concerned about the rivalry, that Milan fans consider Inter players to be better than they have or simply that they enjoy seeing an Inter player scoring for their own team?
Good post! Those people who read my posts would confirm the fact that I hate ex bbilan/gobbi players joining my team. Specially when one has been idolized among rival fans (read Davids). I still haven’t come across one Milan fan who is upset about Bobo's arrival because of this issue!

Sorry, but what are you taking about Jake ?
Inter is something more than some managment. So his all loyality, all respect and love to INTER ended just because of branca Oraiali and Moratti ?

Thank's for that kind of love Bobo ...

Well he's a human who plays football. If he is kicked out of his club AGAINST HIS WILL, I won't blame him if he chooses rivals.

Tommi said:
Edit: If he wanted to leave, then why did we pay all those millions? I doubt Inter management is that stupid.

That's Tommi what we've been saying. No use, mate. How "blue-eyed" somebody can be. Just unbelievable..

Jake and Tommi have sayed it already many times. Most of you won't ever admit it but we kicked Bobo out. Even our management won't pay 9 million for a player who asks release or a move for a another club. It had to be us who came to say Bobo to leave. He didn't want to. We bough him out of the club. Now he plays for BBilan and it's our fault.

Christian Vieri - Italy

Position: F
Birthdate: July 12, 1973
Club: Inter Milan (Italian Serie A)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Smooth as silk and possessing one of the most well-rounded and cultured set of skills in the soccer today, Italian striker Christian Vieri is one of the game's most explosive goal scorers.

With three goals in the tournament already, Italy looks to Vieri to put his stamp on the game with his eloquent scoring skills. A goal-scoring machine, Vieri is a potent frontman who uses his considerable strength to fight off defenders and his excellent finishing skills to punish opponents.

A true journeyman, Vieri has played for nine clubs during his career, commanding world record transfer fees along the way.

Born July 12, 1973, Vieri began his career in Italy's Serie A with Torino in 1991. After a season and half with Torino, he moved on a transfer to Serie B team Pisa in 1992, netting a mere two goals in 18 games. He ended the season with Pisa, but at the beginning of the following season, he moved on to Ravenna.

Two years and two more clubs later, Vieri landed with Juventus in 1996-97, scoring eight goals and helping the Italian giants win the Scudetto.

Like all the teams he played for previously, he only spent a single season with Juventus, signing with Spanish club Atlético Madrid in 1997. Vieri had a breakout year in La Liga, scoring 24 goals and helping the Madrid club win the Spanish league title.

That same year, he made his international debut against Moldova and became a regular with the Azzurri. At France '98, he showcased his scoring skills to the world, netting five goals and finishing as one of the tournament's top scorers.

He was on the move once again the next year, signing with Lazio in 1998. After a single season in Rome, he moved on to Inter Milan on a then-record 32-million-pound transfer fee. He appears to have finally found a home at the San Siro, scoring 53 goals in the past three seasons, and helping Inter reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup this past year.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am glad for Bobo, he has played for 3 of the biggest Italian clubs and one Spanish club and now he joins another big club...I wish him all the best, I think it's stupid to say like someone said here " I wish he breaks his legs"

The clubs he has played for so far...
-- Torino
-- Pisa
-- Ravenna
-- Juventus
-- Atlético Madrid
-- Lazio
-- Inter
-- Milan

Do you feel that Vieri's choice is a lack of respect for Inter and its fans?

Facchetti:
"I won't say anything different from what I have already said. The important decision was to cancel our contract with Vieri. What happened today has nothing to do with us."

Frisko's translation:
Yes, he's a bastard and a traitor. We'll buy Ronaldo back, plus Inzaghi and Brocchi just to piss him off.

How did you decide to cancel Vieri's contract?

Facchetti:
"It was a joint decision reached mutually. Not just by one side. The club believed this was the best decision to make."

Why do Milan go looking for players that have played for Inter?

Facchetti:
"In recent years several players who didn't do well at Inter have gone to play for Milan. It's difficult to play at Inter because if you play one match badly you lose the faith of the environment and the fans. It was the same in my days. Vinicio, a great champion who won the top scorers' title with Vicenza, came to Inter but was booed after a few matches. The following year he returned to Vicenza and won the top scorers' title for two years in a row. It's very difficult to play for Inter, it always has been, and it always will be because you have to give your best and do well from the start."

That's so damn true!

This is disgusting. Thank goodness Vieri won't be wearing the Milan shirt with the scudetto on it. Still, it doesn't take away the gravity of his decision. :fero:

Are you really surprised he went to Milan? After the first two honey years with him on the squad, I noticed that Vieri cares less about Inter, and he was here because of the astronomical money we gave him. Every team he played with knew how much of an egoistic headcase he was, and sold him.

I started arguing that Vieri doesn't really like Inter and likes Milan about 1.5 years ago, but I got crap for that. The signs were there: No intensity whatsoever in derbires, excessive hugging and kissing with Milan players, and public buddies with three hated Milan figures.

As for his indifference towards Inter: Not celebrating goals for a period of time, going to the stands rather than the bench because he was - god forbid - benched, and not really trying hard or showing regret after each time he fails to score a goal in a big moment.

And what's this business of him wanting a starting place to go to the WC? Is he really going to be played every single game at Milan? I doubt it! So, it seems he really wanted to go to Milan all the while.

Tommi, Jake and Marco, I wish I posted this question earlier, but I hope you read it, Didn't Vieri say 'Don't even ask' or whatever when questioned if he will go to Milan? Isn't that Lying? Isn't that Betraying.

Bad Luck to you Vieri, I always knew how much you didn't care about Inter. I just wish there is a way to erase all those goals, but wait, NONE OF THEM WON US SQUAT, SO WHO CARES????????

I think we should create a special hate thread aimed at Vieri.

Well I hope vieri enjoys his time in the retirement home. While milan is busy building their time of soon to be retirees we(Inter) are busy assembling a team which can dominate serie a and possible europe for years to come.

And Screw you Vieri I thought you were an Inter Icon. Quess I was wrong. You have now surpassed ronaldo as the number 1 traitor of all time.

Some of you are standing up for Vieri and i can understand your still undying loyalty to the man. However, you must consider this: Vieri is an icon of the Nerazzurri. For the past handful of years, mention Vieri and you think of scoring gols in an Italian or Nerazzurra jersey. They are synonymous with one another. Vieri has stayed at Inter so long, we have all been fooled into thinking that the man truly cared for Inter. Hell, i loved Vieri for so long because i believed he had genuine feelings for this club.

What hurts me most is the fact that after a mutual agreement to terminate his contract, he goes on to do the unthinkable in signing for our greatest rivals. I have no qualms or issues with him joining any other club - even Juventus. However, i absolutely detest seeing any one of us joining Milan. I was devastated when Pirlo left, and i felt the same way for Seedorf, Simic & others. Not so much because i felt their loss, but more so because they left us for our rivals. The irony could not be greater - the last man to score for a win against Milan is now a player who is in prime position to do the same against us.

Vieri knew very well how we felt against Ronaldo for what he did against us. However, with that in mind, he goes on and does the same - whilst the circumstances surrounding the transfer are significantly different from that of Fatboy's, the end result is similar. You cannot transfer to your cross town rivals without incurring the wrath of the fans. Some may see it as simply a matter of professional choice, whilst others will see that as a slap in the face.

All those years that i supported Vieri are long gone memories now. The only feeling that is left inside of me is a burning anger.

Ciao,
Tim

Vieri was never an icon or an Inter legend. I'm disappointed to hear some people calling him that because he's really the exact opposite. He's just a Merc in search of money and fame, who just so happened to sell his soul to the devil. Fachetti, Beppe Baresi and Zenga were Legends and will never be forgotten by Inter faithful, even for those of us who didn't see them play.

All those guys loved Inter as do some of our current players. The only thing "Bobo" loves is money. I hope he fails miserably at BBilan.
