I wonder what happened to Cordaz? He was suppose to be the 3rd GK, but he was replaced by Bindi in the Treviso game and now Orlandoni has been signed. To be honest I couldn't care less about this signing, I mean seriously, how many chances do 3rd GKs get to play during seasons anywayz? I doubt we'll ever see him on the pitch. Atleast we'll have an oldie rotting on the bench instead of Cordaz who can still get some more experience elsewhere.

he is inter fan, he is 32 and that's perfect if you ask me.

Dumbest thing is to have younger keeper as sub, and even more dumb to have him as 3th keeper.

I was hoping we will have cesar and toldo, with primavera keeper bindi as 3th keeper.

Thank God, finally some positive words about Orlandoni, I thought I was the only person who didn't mind his signing, especially because as Fabio said he sounds loyal and committed.

I always think that a third goal should be someone who is not young and doesn't mind to be benched all the time .. if we put Carini as third goalkeeper .. will he ever has the chance to play ? NO !

That's why I prefer a Primavera keeper as the third keeper. That means he stays with the Primavera team and play week in and week out, and if something bizarre happens, he'll get his chance. And the good thing about this, is that Bindi in this case would be match-fit. Orlandoni on the other hand won't be match-fit at all, because he hasn't played a game for months.

And please don't give me the argument: "What if Toldo and Julio Cesar are injured when we will play a CL final?"

I personally don't even think that a 3rd keeper is needed. Does Juventus even have a 3rd keeper? For all these years, I've only heard Buffon & Chimenti playing for them. Only because of a bad injury to Buffon that they get Abbiati.

But personally, although a no transfer would have been best, I don't give a d@mn about this transfer since I believe the fee & wage will be minimal and that Orlandini won't feature for the team at all and thus, it doesn't matter if he's a good or bad keeper.

I'd be willing to bet that Orlandoni never plays a Serie A or CL match. I'm also pretty confident he won't play any role in the Coppa Italia.

Anyway, he seems like a class act. Probably more passionate about inter than 99% of the people registered here (no offence!).

But look at Fontana... damn, what a great 'keeper. He single-handedly saved Chievo in the first half against Juve.

And then a 30+ keeper that is the third keeper. We are yet to see if Orlandoni will even play a single minute, but looking at Milan and their Fiori, he won't. And thus, making this an idiotic transfer from first of all a financial point of view. Even if he has ridiculous wage (which I doubt, because this is Inter), it is still money that goes to nothing. And second of all, this will mean lack of valuable experience for Bindi who might get called up for some matches and be on the bench. Now, he won't be that.

The only positive thing is that we have at least signed the best choice for a 30+ third keeper. An Inter fan who knows his role.

He sets a good example for the other players, as an old boy from the youth team who is passionate about the club. He will obviously work hard in training and try to be a good influence on the rest, which I'm sure he will succeed at. Money isn't everything, and if money was an issue then he would not have been acquired. Anyhow, I'm sure he probably earns no more than 1,000 euros a week anyway. 52,000 p/year euros for a man who will set a good example to the rest is hardly a bad investment. Especially when 52,000 is f-ck all to a club like Inter. This is not conference division in Scotland, so RELAX............

Buffon is one of the top 3 keepers in the world, while Toldo is past his prime. Because of that, Buffon is number one with no discussions, while Toldo has to fight with young and promising Julio Cesar.

That is the difference between us and Juve. Still, both Inter and Juve have 3 keepers. Juve actually spat on Chimenti's face by signing Abbiati! It was crystal clear that they didn't trust him!

It's true that we didn't have any injuries, but we can't rely on Gobbi's luck (Buffon got injured when the transfers market was open).

I really don't see much difference in attitude. Juve didn't feel safe with a Primavera keeper on the bench, we signed Orlandoni to avoid ever being in that situation.
