Fatigue adds up over the season. Just because he skipped a game doesn't necessarily mean he'll play on the same level for 90 minutes, but yeah, at least I expect a really good first half from Barella. But if he'll get slower in the second half, I totally understand it. He has played so many games this season. There is a reason why the break between seasons isn't just 10 days.

A lot of our chances had his involvement. The goal, Arnautovic chance, his volley that was saved. It wasn't his best game but he was very involved and he also seemed more focused and less agitated. Shame the ball didn't go in, hoping that he can score soon.

Well it's either Bastoni or Barella. Yeah, Barella did have that fuck up, but overall he was the heart of the team and was involved at all times. While Lautaro and Dimarco looked kinda lost, Barella did so much on the pitch that I'm giving it to him.

I don't think that mispass was even Barella's fault. It was Darmian who wasn't aware of the situation. Those are plays they usually do in those areas of the pitch and Darmian was out of his typical operating area. I don't know what he was thinking there, caught completely off-guard that the ball might be passed to him.

Barella was a monster in this game. Does so much dirty work.
