Great that we clinch it now and not after two weeks. Barella will be a fixed starter most probably, so better to have these guys integrated to the squad from the start. Expensive as hell though, overpayment to tell the truth.

Cagliari CEO fucked played this well, I gotta give him that. But it's fine, even if we overpaid in value, since the structure of the deal apparently allows us to spend big for another player I feel. Whether that's Lukaku or someone else, remains to be seen. I could guess it's Lukaku and then if we can sell Icardi-Nainggolan-Joao Mario-Dalbert etc. we can go for another midfield signing (codename SMS).

Im not comparing Gagliardini with Sturaro, he is still young and i think he has good potential, i don't dislike him. But for now he is not the big thing while Barella is considered already one of the best players in the italian national team.

People are saying that we over paid but the final valuation fluctuates by 10million depending on the sources.

Everything points with loan with obligation to buy and bonuses but if barella joins us and does great the money we paid will easily be worth it given that we’ve paid similar to non serie a proven flops over the recent years.

I’ll only consider it over paying if he’s not a regular starter/ fails to hold that space.
