I'd rather we be able to compete with the best clubs in Europe while playing at Stadio Pirelli-Emirates than fighting for an EL spot with Torino at a stadium named after one of our legends.

If naming the stadium after some company massively helps improving the club's financial position then fuck it. Name it Stadio Sheikh 'whatever' for all I care. Most important thing to keep up with other modern football giants in Europe and compete with them, or stay a mid table club and have fun with your pride. It's just a football club, not a country or a religion or whatever. Money talks here.

Yeah Shaun...thats right.

Ofcourse our legend is important. They make our club big. But stadium name absolutely must go to the company that can pay the most for our club.

That money will bring a lot of positive thing to our club right now, and thats what i prefer.

I hate naming rights on stadiums "Emirates" "Etihad" "King power" seriously

it's not absolute, it depends on the negotiation...

Huh? I thought you were in favour of commercial sponsorship over naming it after a member of La Grande Inter?

It is purely sarcasm. Just to show how ugly it is to have a stadium named after a company..
It we r forced to.. Make sure the name is cool

Thohir was then asked about the stadium issue: "Inter have been working on the San Siro project for nine months. We’re ready! Our consultant is ready, our architects are ready, the programme is ready – we’re ready to invest 150 million into the stadium when granted the license by the City. When someone wants to invest – when Inter wants to invest 150 million, that’s an important thing for the city and we won’t change.

"We’ve been talking about this for a year now. It’s positive for the Italian economy and the Milanese economy. We view only San Siro as our home, that’s why we want to invest. We’re ready! I can’t comment on what happened to AC Milan because we’ve simply read the story like everyone else. Our management team will meet theirs and we will discover what they want. I have respect for Barbara and Galliani, we are both unique clubs. That’s why we want to listen to what they have to say, but then the decision is up to them. We want to have our own home, the fans want their own home and we’re very serious about that – and we have been for a year now. I don’t know Bee Taechaubol but it would be good to meet him, especially if he becomes the new owner," continued Thohir.

i would be happy with a change in order to boost the commercials of the club, but i think the name would still have to be tasteful (and not in the McDonalds arena sense).

Arrrrggghhhh! Then get the fuck out, you buffoon. This is so infuriatingly frustrating.

For historical reasons that are out of our hands we're in bed with the slimiest, most out of touch cretin in the whole of Italy, and there's nothing we can do about it.
Now that things are finally looking up, with a solid league-table position and revenue slowly, but steadily getting better, Berlusconi, and him only, effectively halts our progress as a football club; because he can't manage to keep his own doorstep clean, he chooses to take a giant dump on ours as well.

Remind me again, why isn't this moron in jail? It's embarrasing that someone as excruciatingly incompetent as him is allowed to be in charge of anything, let alone a football club, and now we're paying the price.

Berlusconi and Galliani are like crabs in a bucket. They will keep dragging us down with them. Rumour has it that Berlusconi pulled out of the new stadium project because he saw Inter were getting a better deal at San Siro if they moved out. And now this. #FuckBerlusconi

Again: We should build a stadium for ourselves. We have already wasted way to much time on this over the years. I know it is Italy and it will for this reason be difficult to get all the permissions within a number of years but at least give it a try and see what happens. It is anyway better than waiting the next 5 or more years without anything happening due to the Milan management.

Just to respond to the latest posts, I wasn't even aware Milan had rejected our proposal. It seemed they'd have the commonsense to agree to our proposal (perhaps split the cost of renovations) and still have our own separate stores and revenue streams etc. But no they even have to complain about a procedure like this, which would blatantly be a 50/50 expenses split.

We should buy out the rights for the stadium, with the right to kick out those cunts next door, or even better 100% permission to get it done ourselves. If they want to keep playing in a fully renovated Inter stadium, with nothing AC Milan insight they can be my guest. I'm disgusted at their lack of foresight, this is an important rebuilding period for Inter and these cunts are going to hold us back.

Time to move out and build our own stadium, if they're not going to budge. Regardless of cost I believe it's a necessity to renovate or build a new stadium. We can get 50-60K fans into our ground week in week out and frankly dwarf both Juve and Milan if we're clever.

So 10 years have passed since this thread was created and we are still not sure if we are getting a new stadium or not.

I bet you anything this thread is going to be still here in 2026.
