The fact he is indonesian says otherwise.. we have a police general owned 7 houses went unnoticed for years...
Their squad cant seem to score or stop conceding goals. I dont know if it's their coach's, the team's, or Thohir's fault. They rely too much on a 35-year old and many of their player are underperforming. Also, when the attack plays well, the defense is horrendous, and vice-versa. Maybe Thohir needs to buy some players for them? As you said, dont expect miracles if he buys the club.....OK I just googled this guy. As of July 2012 [the MLS season begins in March and ends in October] he's a majority holder in DC United [who are on second LAST overall and 10th last place in Eastern Conference]. The 11/12 and 12/13 seasons back to back really disturb me - hope there are some US fans that are able to explain how are DC doing and why on earth have they failed so miserably this season.
1. yes, they were, and got to the conference finals in the playoffs but they've crumbled since then. 2. when i said team, i meant the players.If Im not mistaken DC utd was #1 for quite a while last season in MLS. Also, Ben Olsen is a pretty young coach, so diff situation.
Owner = $, team = director/manager
Yes, it does. It could give us an idea of how good of an investor Thohir is and if he knows how to run a football club.The performance of DC United has about zero relevance to the future success of Inter, regardless of who the owner is
Yes, but wouldn't Thohir still have to provide money for DC United to cover expenses? If DC are in financial trouble, the blame should mostly go to the owners, because they are the ones who cough up the money. If they aren't having money issues, well that's good for us if Thohir buys the club, because it means that he can run our club well.Anyone with any knowledge of MLS knows that the owners of MLS clubs are not really in control of transfers etc because of the regulations and caps in MLS. It shouldn't reflect their performance as an owner. However the priority for DC United since the founding of the club (which was successful before Thohir, not that that should reflect on him) was to get a new stadium.....oh and they have no new plans for a staidum....HA
Owning an MLS team is a complete different animal than owning a european team. Regardless of the similarities you think its just not the same.
who? Aiptu Labora? a one billion police officer
