Having extensively searched every defender in La Liga I have found these (realistic) players:

Pablo Ibanez,22 (Atletico Madrid) - Was rumoured to us but has since moved club,however our good relationships with the team good conjure something?

Rafael Marquez,23 (Barcelona) - Traditionally hard to negotiate with,Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez seems to be out of favour at the club.

Juanito,24 (Betis) - Is a Spanish international and Betis' best defender,quite tall (183 cm) and quite pacey this guy could be good.

Jorge Andrade,26 (Deportivo) - Arguably the last realistic but could be worth a try.However his grip with the club may be too much,last year he played 37 times for Depor.Btw he as only played for Estrela Amadora,Porto and Deportivo.

Francisco Pavon,24 (Real Madrid) - Not exactly a great defender but would be a very worthy replacement and better than Mihajlovic.

Carlos Marchena,25 (Valencia) - Not tied down to his club after his contract dispute could come for about 6 million pounds and is a good solid defender.Cup tied.

Roberto Ayala,31 (Valencia) - The same age as Cannavaro but still world class,a worthy replacement and first team starter.Would cost a bit though.

Gabriel Milito,23 (Zaragoza) - Coming from a small club we could secure this player for about 7 million and he is young and very good.Unfortunately he is quite short but his intelligence akes up for it.Again,worth a try.

Now I will highlight some good players playing in England -

Martin Albrechtsen,24 - West Bromwich Albion - A good defender who althuogh just moved club could not resist a move to Inter.

Joseph Yobo,23 - Everton - A bright spark in a poor team,Joseph Yobo is a very good and young defender who can run a fair bit aswell.

Ledley King,23 - Tottenham - Englands new Sol Campbell and for a fair bit of many he could be ours.Very reliable and should accept a move to Inter.

Anthony Gardner,23 - Tottenham - Another promising young defender.Gardner,Kings partner is very fast and has good defending skills.Could be on the market.

Olof Mellberg,26 - Aston Villa - Aston Villa's best player and a very capable defender.Could be ours easily for under £10 million.Would be worth a try.

The main reason canna is going is because of huge salary. Since were trying to MINIMISE that, we would we go buy such an expensive defender?

The only players that are world class in our defence is only our captain and maybe Toldo. Cordoba is good but his reading of the game still needs improvement, eventhough his pace makes up for his mistakes.

Its funny to see that inter fans always overate its own players. If our defence is world class then we would have won the our derbies with milan but somehow its the opposite. Shev and co. always seems to have a field day when they face our worldclass defence. :yuck:

Sorry man but Ivan Ramiro Cordoba is World Class and he starts for his Country , he is even the Captain there . As for other i agree with carson about the players he mentioned , Matrix ain't World Class but he is good , However Cordoba is World Class ofcourse .

Paulo Cannavaro,23 (Parma) - 23 and with bags of potential.Already in the Parma 1st team and looking very promising.One for the future maybe?

I agree with Carson about the players he mentioned , However Ivan Ramiro Cordoba is a pure World Class Defender , that's ofcousre , he is even the fastest defender in Italy . as For Matrix , matrix is good but not World Class .

Matrix is NOT world class, he's a scrub pure and simple. He was one the main reasons Italy lost to Iceland and he was pretty crappy in Euro too. When Burdisso returns from injury I hope Mancio will use him and Cordoba as the two CB's.

Moratti and Fachetti are idiots if this goes through. Yeah let's strengthen Juve di merda just to get rid of Cannas wages, if they wanted to free some money up they should gotten rid of Recoba.

we need one toll player.we can`t always play whit cordoba and burdisso.
Cordoba is short and burdisso is average high

No offence or anything helal but:

Gardner,Albrechtsen,Ibanez,Juanito,Pavon or Marchena are dead certs not to cost as much as Cesar and many of the others are variables! :stuckup:

Stam-Maldini-Nesta. When it comes to defence, i would rather them old. It's been proven that their much better. Im not talking Miha old, but about Canna's age is perfect. Very experienced, yet he is still quick!

Stam-Maldini-Nesta. When it comes to defence, i would rather them old. It's been proven that their much better. Im not talking Miha old, but about Canna's age is perfect. Very experienced, yet he is still quick!

Well lets be honest here,the 2nd one is better but will only last at its peak for 1-2 seasons while the first one will only be slightly less experiencd but will last for like 10 years!
