This move right now only improves our win total by 3 games if we're lucky. The defense is not improved with Nash coming. It does address our point guard situation, but the SF and size is still in question.

He wouldn't have trouble getting by Nash either, but luckily he sucks so it doesn't really matter if he does. Nash simply can't defend NBA athletes. Mike Brown will need to live up to his defensive reputation to develop schemes to mask it. Shouldn't be that big a concern, the Lakers have more or less gotten by with terrible defense at the position for a while, Nash is just the worst of the bunch.

You're really underrating how bad Nash is defensively. Fisher was a decent defender that got old and slow. Blake is a pesky defender but again, doesn't have the quickness. Nash was always bad even when he was young, and now he's just unspeakably awful.

The Suns defenses were really bad and that goes same for the Mavericks with Nash and Don Nelson. We all know what style of play he has been under (minus a brief time under Porter) where they have no defense.

Bynum's contract expires one years after DH's. Why would the Magic trade their best player for another center who is either going to leave in FA or force his way out in a year? I'm not ruling out the possibility of a trade to LA, but it's not the slam dunk everyone seems to think.
