But I think you did a good job in shipping Walker out. :D Not sure who you got in return but Walker sux man. He shoots 3-pointers like there's no tomorrow but only has an average of below .330. And last time I checked, O'Neal (Shaq that is ;)) shoots better free-throw than him!!!

Is Kevin Garnett the best player in NBA and is Dikembe Mutumbo still playing and does he spell Mutumbo or Mutombo?

Well Walkers leadership was important though...Plus he took soo much pressure of Pierce and actually made him a better player..I still luv the guy and think that he was good for us especially if disciplined a bit...The thing is we didnt get much for him while Dallas are reaping all the benefits in that deal :depress:

I have to agree right now KG looks like the best player...Add Cassel and Spreawell to that team and they look extremely dangerous in the finals. Also Mutumbo is still playingwith NY last i know of

It's Mutombo

According to stats Garnett is the most valuable player in the NBA. I haven't been able to see him in action yet (I got the channel that broadcasts NBA once in a week just recently) but he seems to be very tough anyway. The best player of NBA if ask my opinion.

Definately a good player but his team is playing like crap which diminished that argumrnt alot against the likes of KG..

I really hated how he said in the playoffs last year that its nice to go to the second round when there was one more game for them to go at 3-1 and after that got beaten 3-4 and looked like a childish kid.

T-Mac is definitely a great player! In fact, i bought his jersey yesterday. Leading the NBA with a 28 point average definitely says something.

who does everyone follow?

I follow Denver, let's hope we can hold on to the last playoff spot.

KG is the best and most all-rounded player, hands down. This guy is a freak. Definitely deserve to be the highest paid (Isn't he???) player in the NBA.

Well things kinda sux for Peja now IMO. I mean, before Webber returned, it was mainly him and sometimes Bibby who were the focus points of Kings' attack. With Webber's return, he'll take away some of the focus that Peja had before. Such pity since Peja was in the form of his life prior to Webber's return.

I support Lakers this year. Not because I like them or anything but Karl and Gary deserve the Ring.

So here is the final standings. With the standings, this will be the match-up in the playoffs:

Eastern Conference
Indiana Pacers - Boston Celtics
Ziyad, looks like your team has a tall order. ;)

New Jersey Nets - New York Knicks
Stephon Marbury returns to the Nets. Should be a great match-up between him and Jason Kidd, 2 of the prime point-guards of the game.

Detriot Pistons - Milwaukee Bucks
No comment. :D

Miami Heat - New Orleans Hornets
No comment. :p

Western Conference
Minnesota Timberwolves - Denver Nuggets
Unbelievably, the Wolves never won a play-off series with Kevin Garnett. But with the addition of Spree and Sam, things have changed and they're the best team in the west this season. Melo's Nuggets stands before them.

Los Angeles Lakers - Houston Rockets
The battle between arguably the top 2 centers in the game, Shaq & Yao, would highlight this tie. I think the veterans of the Lakers will step up during this post-season and nobody can stop them. But lately, Kobe has been spectacular (Check out his game against Portland. :star:) and he can steal the spotlight yet again.

San Antonio Spurs - Memphis Grizzlies
No comment. :lala:

Sacramento Kings - Dallas Mavericks
I think they meet in last season's Conference semis when Dallas won. Webber was injured in the series and it was said that was the reason why. But since his come-back, the Kings have been awful, slipping from first spot to 4th.

Great Great Post Han :D

As for Boston if this was the Boston of last year and the Indiana of last year I would put my life on it that we would upset them sort of like LAST YEAR :D
But they have a better coach and a better GM and that team has grown together while Boston has a completly different team(Thanks to Ainge :yuck: )My prediction is that we would be lucky to take one or two games....But Indi will be in complete control of this series.

The other series in the east i would say their will be an upset at is the NY-NJ series....I would think that NY can beat the mighty Jersey team that went to the last two finals.U heard it here first if it happens...If it doesnt dont look to com back to this thread as some editing might take place :D

Hopefully Detroit gets out of the East overall...they really deserve it IMHO.

As for the west well i hope its either Minnesota because they are the underdog...But if they dont i just hope it isnt the Lakers that progress.

Thanx Ziyad. My NBA knowledge is very shallow at this current moment. I can only view the results and read reports since when you guys play at night in USA, it's morning here in Singapore. And I usually don't bother to search when the delayed telecast is. :D Plus, we only got 1/2 game per week.

I didn't really follow the NBA last season so I have no idea what you were talking about the upset thingee. :D What position did Boston finish in the league last season??? I think Indiana has matured even more though this season and this is shown in the fact that they have the best record in the league this season.

About an upset in the Nets - Knicks game, I can actually see one too. After a white-hot start by them when Lawrence Frank took over, they haven't been really good. And I think they ended the regular season in a bad way. 5-5 in the last 10 games. The injuries to K-Mart and Kidd was definitely a factor though. Let's see if they can bounce back. Actually I was supporting them last season because I thought Kidd is just a genius. I haven't found any NBA team who I should support regularly btw so don't anyone of you dare call me a glory-hunter or...or your a$$ is banned. :D Man, I'd love to abuse my power.

Well, I'll support Lakers this year. As I've said, I think it'll be a shame if Gary & Karl retire without getting a ring on their finger. Just think of it like J.Zanetti retiring before winning the Scudetto. I can't call them glory-hunters because this will be the last year of their illustrious career. Kobe was BRILLIANT against Portland last night btw. I just watched a short highlight of that game and man, 2 3-pointers at the last seconds!!! Classic stuff.

Well Han i would never call an Inter fan a glory hunter...But ur supporting the Lakers.Come on ;)
As for the NY-NJ matchup the only thing that i see going wrong for NY is if Marbury gets into this game thinking he will win it by himself which he usually does in the big games and therefore the team suffers....There is history and comparisons made in that matchup and Marbury should not get into that or he will lose everything and take his team with him.If NY play as a team they will win if they dont they wont and they can have Marbury to blame as its not the first time he does this.

Ziyad, I'm just supporting them because of Gary & Karl. If they were in the Spurs, I'll support Spurs instead. ;) Maybe support is too strong of a word. Perhaps 'have a soft spot' is more appropriate. ;)

I like the Kings and I personally think that they can win it all this year vs. Indiana in the finals :star:
