That was not a trend, that was good team building by Danny Ainge.

He signed Ray Allen and traded for Kevin Garnett to pair them with Paul Pierce. They didn't collude to join the same team, it wasn't in their power.

What Lebron and Bosh did, Wade included of course, was actually against the rules.

Yah Boston traded to build that team, but werent they all free agents? why is it against the rules?

I know it's not the best source, but the essence is right:

It is generally illegal for organizations and players included to discuss free agency before they're actually free agents. That's why July 1st is a hot date, that's when agents, players and teams are finally allowed to discuss free agency.

None of the teams or GMS abide by that prob, based on various ESPN videos i saw as well its just an official date that no one respects, plus with burner phones, accounts, family members agents etc its prob easy to get around it. You can add that to the list of NBA trash u dont like :D

It's hypocritical when you're going to protest one thing yet Daryl Morey gets the short end of the stick. Nothing to do with parties.

I actually have to agree with this. Obviously I have no problem whatsoever standing up for domestic causes in the form of social justice and racial equality, but it's hard to do all this when Daryl Morey tried to do the same thing bringing attention to what's happening in Hong Kong on a generally similar matter, and got publicly rebuked for doing so, mostly because it threatened the NBA's interests with China. Something about that never sat right with me either and, unintentionally or otherwise, does make the NBA's messages ring just a tad bit more hollow in response.

You don't have to bring attention to and fight against all the plights happening across the world, but you at least need to be consistent with your views towards them when asked.

I dont think to many non chinese are happy with what happened to Morey. Bt my prob with all off this is that it reeks of hypocrites. Lets face it every single company that does business in china should speakout but not a single one of them does you know why cause china will fucken ban you instantly. Those are things that dont happen in the US hence one can critique the politics without fearing for his business.

But of course the nba telling one of it s people to tone it down is a bigger outrage than the likes of apple and Nike using Uiguhr forced labour.
Like why the fuck is the NBA getting the biggest blowback? why can nike make a commercial for BLM and get no pushback on their china doublespeak?
At least in the NBA somebody opened his mouth where is the disney/GM /Apple/Nike person that tells it how it is? Oh they dont exist what a fing surprise.
At the end of the day we re all greedy bastards we know what happens in china for years now yet we buy their stuff and we dont hold our own companies to high standards once they moved production to china.

Everybody boycotting the NBA cause of Daryl but buing Nikes/disneystuff/Apple/GM basically any big corporation is a huge hypocrite and obviously is missing the point by boycotting the NBA.

Side note i do agree that Daryl should not have been punished.

Westbrook wants out. I doubt anyone besides the Knicks is dumb enough to trade for him.

That contract is horrendous and he's simply not good enough.

Nicks are one of the worst run franchises in history. Insane to see how bad MG has done there over the years with that market and the money that flows through there.

I thought Boston would have been able to compete for a championship as well but looks like Ainges strategy of going with young players and using draft picks hasnt worked out well in the long run. Gordon Hayward i heard wants out as well and i dont see a lot of free agents going there. Brad Stevens as well looked shaky against Miami.

Kevin Love is interesting to me, always rated him as an elite PF, if he goes to golden state or lakers it would improve either team a lot.

He probably would have gone for sure without covid. All that media attention for his weird dressing style :D Now there's nowhere to go out, he can just post shit from home online anywhere.

LOL can you imagine that team would be talented as fuck but would never win shit. Durant and Kyrie are way to fragile to play with harden?
I mean how long before either of them accuses harden of never fucken passing the ball? I mean Durant had a problem with that when he was playing with steph clay and Green all known for sharing the ball good luck playing alongside Harden..
Would be entertaining though but imho a huge waste of money from the owners.

Knicks signing Russ Westbrook is such a Knicks thing to do, :)

Harden to the Nets? Haha, Kyrie and Durant are two highly sensitive persons, who'm I don't see as a good match. Now let's put Harden in the mix. Would be entertaining to see them falter.

Hopefully there will be a day in the future when Tampa has an NBA team of their own (not gonna hold my breath given the close proximity of the Orlando Magic).

Until then, we'll take the best care that we can of the Raptors. The NBA's never compared to football (either kind) or hockey for me, but I'm really excited about this, even though obviously the circumstances behind it suck.
