This is just a cheeky initial offer is my guess, the main purpose of this offer is to catch Dembele's eye with a 4 year contract, hoping he will force his move out.

I doubt this would work, and IMO if we sign someone who is 30+ we should ideally look at 2 year contracts, maximum 3 years. Anything more is not clever.

There's no chance Levy is gonna accept that offer. 10 M is nothing for a PL club. They'd rather keep him for another season and let him leave for free. I think something around 20 M would be a fair and reasonable price. He still has at least two years as an elite midfielder in a position and role which we need depth and experience (I no longer count Valero as viable option). Only concern is his injury, but we don't need to push him to play 50 games a season anyway.
