I'm pretty surprised how much both milan players and fans respect inter despite great success against them in recent years..it's really important feature for both clubs and everybody is trying to put off the pressure from players..

You might not agree with this, but I believe many juve and some milan fans second guess their recent victories and trophies.

Juve is a well-known example and there is nothing to say, for Milan, your CL crown is deserved, but some of your scudetti should have a question mark. Ever since Berlusconi owned you and became PM you started winning. Yes, money makes difference, but also power.

Not to mention that your general manager is head of Lega Calcio. We have no power whatsoever and earn every single point we get. I don't want to re-count the numerous dubious penalties, late goals and calls that you got and got points for.

So that's why some have respect for us while - trophy-ly speaking - we are as fruitless as the Sahara. Deep inside you know that you get favours and we don't. We earn our victories, and when we win, well, it's going to be something. But I rather not win than win dubiously.

Well Done brother.
That's a real answer. I would like to add another factor; Mafia.

I really don't understand why you are surprised that Burdisso hasn't been called up. The guy hasn't played in ages for us, do you expect Mancini to put his trust in him in such a vital game? No way, Materazzi is the man in that case.

Anyway, we're almost there, the first chapter of this adventure is about to unfold.

I'm so tense, I keep thinking at images like our players celebrating after a goal, the Champion League music and the faces of our heros.

It's time to step up. Let's believe in them, they can do it. We went inches away from beating them 2 years ago, they have almost the same team, ours is much better, and such a better coach.

Forza ragazzi, let's kick some assess!

About Burdisso I have something to say.

1- at present:
He didn't play in Argentin's 2nd match. I don't know why, but I hope it would bring a good reason for not being called up. I think Mancio has placed Burdisso in his plans. I remember once a journalist asked Mancio that why he doesn't use Burdisso more and Mancio replied that " as Burdisso was in the Olympic games he didn't take part in the pre season sessions and still he hasn't manage to know his teammates well enough."
And everybody knows that after the draws of the first half of this season Mancio fears to risk in defence. Of course this is what I think.
2- his future
Even J.Z didn't have a lot of chances in his 1st season with us. About Burdisso this thing has came to my mind since the start of the season that he won't play a lot of matches. He'll have more and more appearance in the next season. This is what has happened to Emre too. Of course the enterance of Veron, Cambiasso and Stankovic has effected his place a lot.
But maybe he will be LOANED out, next season. It seems that Luisao will play for us next season. Add the rumourse of Kompany, Bonera, Kuffor and huth too. Also there's Matrix's renewed contract. On the other hand, it seems that Mihailovic and Gammara will leave us. I don't know whether to add Matrix or not. I do hope that we won't get more than 1 defender for the next season as Burdisso is a very good defender and he can get better and better. So if in the next season there would be Cordoba, Luisao and Matrix surely he will be in Inter's future.

I really affraid that we have to play without Cordoba. He didn't train completly with the squad.
In today's interview when a journalist asked Mancio something about Cordoba, Mancio replied that "maybe Cordoba won't start tomorow and ....."
What does it mean? In that question there was the names of Veron and Mihailovic too. Why didn't he say the same about Veron or even Mihailovic. About Mihailovic he only said that if he starts...and not like what he said about Cordoba. I Have never seen Mancio to say so about a player who everybody can predict his starting on the pitch.

Mancio:
I think that he said so just in case to decrease the pressure or at least not to increase it. Of course I prefer him to say some warmer words but I think that if he has said something about revenge and other things he would have increased the tension. A coach can't speak like a player. Mancio as a coach can't speak like Stankovic. It's a fact that we MAY loose the tie, just as Milan may (WILL  ) and if he says that this is our most important match or other things, and if the worst thing happens then the rest of the season will be broken. Although this match is the most important match for us but we have other goals this season, 3rd place in Serie A and Coppa. We should get them too. Mancio knows the importance of this match for the fans, players and even Inter's future but he controls his feelings at public places. Surely he speaks diffrently with the players.

After all I should say that I don't care who will start. Those who'll start must play for their pride, the color of their jersy and the hearts of the fans. I think that J.Z, Cordoba, Matrix, Toldo, Cambiasso, C.Z, Kily, Stankovic, Oba and Bobo will be like this. I'm sure that for example if we had lost all of our keepers then we can place J.Z at that roll and he'll do his best. Those who are proud of being a part of Inter must play in the matches like this.
I do believe in Cruz too. We have some great memories of him in the big matches like against Arsenal and two times against Juve. I Think that he is in a good form too.
My team:

Toldo
J.Z, Cordoba, Mihailovic, Favali
Stankovic, Veron, Cambiasso, Kily
----------Cruz------ObaGoal
and if that tragedy about Cordoba became true then:

Toldo
Ze-M, J.Z, Mihailovic, Favali
Stank, Veron, Cambiasso, Kily
Cruz, Oba

It seems that Ancelotti is comming for a goalless draw. But we'll go for a 6-0 win. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

This is a match preview of sorts from a website:

Revenge will be the aim of the game when 'visiting' Internazionale tackle AC Milan at the San Siro in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday night.

The red-and-black Rossoneri have had the upper hand over their city rivals in recent years.

Inter fans have had to content themselves with three UEFA Cup triumphs since the club's last Scudetto in 1989, as Milan have continued to be one of the dominant forces in world football, winning Europe's elite club competition in 1989, 1990, 1994 and 2003 as well as countless domestic trophies.

On the way to their last Champions League triumph two years ago, Milan beat Inter in the semi-final on the away goals rule after a 1-1 draw in their 'away' leg.

Inter coach Roberto Mancini knows that his players will have to keep their heads in what will doubtlessly be a heated atmosphere if they are to banish the memories of that painful night in 2003.

Mancini said: "We know we'll have to play a great match.

"It's quite an important match, but we have to remember that it's a football match, even though it's a wonderful one to play in.

"I'd pay a lot to be able to play this game, there's nothing better than a derby, a Champions League quarter-final derby. We need to be as calm as possible and be aware that it will be a wonderful game.

"Inter are a solid team and can do well if they manage to stay calm."

Mancini will be without the services of forwards Adriano and Alvaro Recoba because of injuries.

Obafemi Martins and Christian Vieri ( ? ) are likely to start up front, with Julio Cruz having to settle for a place on the bench.

Inter captain Javier Zanetti is aware that the Rossoneri go into the game as favourites but insists they will set out to cause Carlo Ancelotti's team problems.

"To play such an important match means so much to all of us," he said.

"We know the importance of this match and what it means for us, the club and the fans. We want to continue our path in the Champions League and we should consider ourselves fortunate to play a match of this kind.

"They are certainly favourites because they won the championship last year and the Champions League two years ago. But we will play this match on equal terms, aware of our strength, and we will try to create problems for Milan."

Ancelotti has the luxury of having his top striker available, with Andriy Shevchenko fit again following a long-lay off with a facial injury.

The Ukrainian - who has scored 14 goals this term - has not featured for Milan since fracturing his cheekbone against Cagliari in February.

The European Footballer of the Year is champing at the bit to play in another Milan derby.

"Everything is different in a derby, the tension, the emotion, the support of the fans, who put on a real show. It is a special game," Shevchenko told www.acmerda.com.

"For Italian football the more teams that go through to the final stages, the better it is. A demonstration of strength."

Having enjoyed plenty of success against Inter in his five-and-a-half years with the club, the Ukrainian remembers the 2003 triumph above all others.

"It was a very tense two-legged tie," he added.

"I scored the goal, but the attitude of the whole team decided the outcome. It was an incredible joy for the fans and me. We wanted to celebrate with them, freeing our emotion and tiredness by running towards them."

Filippo Inzaghi is a slight doubt with a knee injury but should prove his fitness in time and Alessandro Nesta misses the game with a foot injury.

---

Nesta misses the game??

Come on, guys.. you aren't sooo desperate, are you?*?

Don't talk about money, coz Moratti spent a lot more than Berlu..and done what?? Nothing!!

It's ok to have some doubts in some occasiones, but to point them general, it's ridiculous..don't say Milan doesn't deserve its victories..does inter deserve every draw?? No..

I wish you could believe me and know that this doesn't come out of desperation. I am very desperate but I think I am objective and talk with my brain. I didn't mention money, I mentioned power. We aren't powerful, we aren't as connected as you or Juve. But I am very CONTENT with that, as I said, I'd rather be desparate than live in uncertainity.

I will act like a psychologist and tell you that you sometime ponder about what I said. You seem like a decent guy, and I'm sure you hate to win with factors outside the pitch.

Anyway, enough of this talk. I am shivering now, I just can't bear it anymore. Worse is that I have to be in school during the game, and I will see it taped staring at game's end.

I won't know the result before hand, I want to relive some of those great memories. Besides, it's been about two weeks since my heart was pumping like a motor and armpits raining cats and dogs :D . I miss those feelings and I'm certain to get that tomorrow.

FORZA INTER, FORZA RAGAZZI. :star: :star: :star:

As lame as it may sound, all I can do at this point is pray that god is on our side, for once.

I just don't think my health can handle another heart breaker, and in such dramatic fashion that the Merda always do it in.

Ok, not much left. :star: Putting inter's shirt to work. All I hope Cafe plays, and I quess he does. I think Mancini wasn't too concerned.

So are you sure Deki will start. Minor problems, but I think he'll make it. Anyway I put my line-up. Something what we played for example against Roma. And I include Deki's not 100% form.

Martins - Cruz
Kily/Andy - Cuchu - CZ - Veron
Favalli - Miha - Cafe - JZ
Toldone

FORZA RAGAZZI!!
