Lukaku assisted the first goal, a reminder to those who love undervaluing his contributions.

And without his hold up play, there would not be any attack in 2nd goal. He scores often, but he has many other contributions to the team as well. And when he is not scoring, we should be looking also elsewhere. He is not Messi. Can not perform everyday. But he is always important to us.

Ever since Conte starts our best 11 I am more confident going to the matches. It's still Pazza Inter and we are capable of screwing up the easies matches, but I am happy that Conte finally stick to the best 11 and doesnt make odd and questionable decisions as he used to.

Handa MOTM for me, had we conceded one of those 3 glorious chances for Milan we would have surely melted and lost like 1-3.
What makes you so sure we'd lose if Handa hadn't saved those shots? You think the highest scoring team wouldn't be able to score more?

By the way, just like scoring is a duty of an attacker, saving is the direct duty of a goallie, so I don't get this. Sure Handa deserves praises, but so do all the others. I would understand if the match had ended with a narrow 1:0 victory, but we trashed them 3:0. Unless you are biased against LuLa like the majority here...

I won't presume to answer on alvaro's behalf but I would say it was due to the momentum which was 100% Milan in the opening 10 minutes of the second half. We were really on the ropes for a moment there and a Milan goal felt inevitable.

One hell of performances despite few reckless plays here and there. Bbilan, however looked clueless on the final third and we exploited them effectively.

And it is supposed to mean we wouldn't be able to fight back? I mean we create most chances in the league, we have scored more than any team yet we would melt away after conceding a goal? Had we conceded a goal, it doesn't mean Milan would continue pressing and create those chances. The momentum could go to either side

MOTM: The real God at Milano, Handanovic

Also MOTM worthy performances: Lukaku, Martinez and Perisic.

Apart from moments of iffy-ness from Hakimi, Bastoni and De Vrij, all starters played well today. Conte showed why he is a far superior coach than Pioli, even when Milan had us on the ropes, they were only playing into our hands. If we had taken our chances better, the scoreline could have looked a lot worse for Milan.

Its one of those rare occasions where you win 3-0, your GK is MOTM and the scoreline was kind to the other team. Those 3 things hardly ever happen in the same game. And there is a new king in town.

If somebody told me that we'll collect 9 points from the games against Fio, Lazio and Milan, scoring 9 goals and conceding only 1, I would have laughted at him.

We have to keep the momentum and win against Genoa and Parma. I'll settle for a draw against Atalanta.

This match has a big "reality check" label written all over. Some months ago I said a fact "Milan haven't beaten any decent teams without penalties or red cards" several Milanisti here bashed me with blatant excuses "but but pens only come from good plays". Gosh hope you wake up and see how Milan were without helps... Atalanta Jube and us stripped out your sugarcoating, Roma up next...

This Milan is a poor version of Inter in the mid 2000s... I hate that guy but Ibra is a beast. ALL of Milan chances were from him, won all aerial duels to finish or assist, or drain a pen out of such. Scarier, our defenders and Conte were all aware of his threat but could do nothing to stop a skillful 193m tower. In the previous derby, THREE men marked him but he still pulled a nutmeg and beated Handa to the corner... Don't avoid the fact that Milan is a one-man team, Ibra carries half and pens care for the other half, when he was absent.

That being said, Ibra's (and Milan's) weakness is right there: he is nearly 40 yo and can't play every minutes. Pioli has to take him off early, not that he surrenders or anything, but due to fatigue. And Milan is toothless afterward. Maybe they lose motivation after 3-0 gap, or, maybe Theo and others don't have any target to cross to anymore. Next matches will be nails to the coffin for them, when Serie A and Europe rolling at the same time. In 4 days they have Red Star, and 3 days later Roma. Good luck with all the ridiculously hyped benchers you guys Milan have.

What's with the info on Rai about Milan complaining about our substitutions ? Like we made our 5 changes in 4 windows instead of 3.

What a fucking joke. You were destroyed. Be fairplay.

No, we made 5 subs in three windows. Three (Darmian, Gags, Sanchez) in the 78th, one (Young) in the 83rd and one (Vidal) in the 86th.

If we had made subs on four different occassions (HT subs excluded) they would be right to complain since it would be against the rules.

There is some confusion coz of the official times of the subs:

Does anyone remember if there was any play between Gags/Darmian coming on and Sanchez coming on? I thought they happened ib the same "break".

Probably the subs were registered at 77:58, 77:59 and 78:00, who knows...

All three subs were at the same break so it's irrelevnat.
