I know ill get hated, and i know its preseason, but still, Skriniar need to get his head straight... He has been awful in the preseason. We need him in last years form.

Currently, all he does ia follow the ball and intercepts if he can. His tackling is bad, his marking even worse. And he gets easily annoyed when opposition player beats him...

Now i onow its pre season and all, but he seems so.... Underperforming. I know i shouldnt but im kinda scared for him and our defense.

Skriniar is arguably the most important player for us this season, so I hope he doesn't pull a Gagliardini.

That being said, this just outlines even more why we need Vidal. Put Brozo/Vidal/Nainggolan in midfield, and even with defenders in shit form, we'll be defensively unbreakable.

that's what happens when you pull a miraculous season, then at the end of the year, the management gives your raise to Icardi.
what's the point of giving your all if you're underpaid ?

Icardi even been told we will hold the renewal to september because we can add more expense before finish the mercato. Think he already accepting that and willing sacrificed a bit if mgmt guaranteed bring good player to squad. And this past week Wanda just been silence despite he didnt get renewal yet.

This is true, but hopefully he just needs to find the same understanding he has with Miranda with De Vrij. Also it’s preseason so who knows how serious he’s taking it. I’ll wait for prestige ICC friendlies before getting worried.

Skriniar should be at RCB not LCB, he is not comfortable with Asamoah, De Vrij or Dalbert there.

Of course he can be CCB too, but De Vrij must be RCB then.

3 Back formation is not easy when you very very good at 4 back.

And seriously, with Gagliardini on midfield, it makes our CB harder to start play from deep.

Must be had playmaker on midfield like Brozo

We will see. Im utterly disappointed by him in the preseason, he is arguably our worst player. While we expect him to be our leader, he does this.

And it's not about trying. It's about his overall play. Constantly losing his player, constantly losing tackles, and what annoys me the most, he gets easily pissed off when he gets beaten.

Of course, as I said, it's only preseason, and we have quite a few new palyers he need to get known with, im just raising some concerns, that's all.

PS: Skriniar also got a payrise. When we signed him from Samp he was earning about a mil, now he earns 2.5 (i think). his contract was also extended from 2022 to 2023. It's not like his performance wasn't rewarded. Of course he cannot expect to earn as much as Icardi who has been great with us for years.

i know this is still pre-season, but his performance worries me a lot. Remember, previous season he had been good since pre season. He pocketed Ribery, Lewandowski, Morata etc in the friendly matches

Though seriously, we were lucky he was a contender for MotM for most of our games last season. That shit's not sustainable, he's going to have a bad game or two. Literally every player on Earth does. Add to that a new CB partner, non-existent midfield in front of him, and it's no surprise that he hasn't been stellar in the first 3 friendly games after 2 months off.

That said, this is why we need 3 top CBs. If one of them drops in form, he can be replaced without losing quality in our starting lineup.

In my opinion De Vrij and Skriniar is poor, and one of them need Miranda there.

De Vrij - Miranda or Skriniar - Miranda is better than De Vrij - Skriniar.

and i never saw Skriniar play 3 CB formation before, so i am not worry if he poor at 3 CB formation.

De Vrij stole his position at mid, and Skriniar get new role, still need adaptation, no one perfect.

This post is full of bullshit and overreacting. Sigh. It’s normal that players dont give a shit for preseason matches, start worrying when he does this in a Serie A game.

He comes from eastern europe, in his country average monthly salary is below 500 euros. He really doesn't seem like the snotty spoiled money-hungry type.
