Well, In that case, Israel supported Azerbaijan with drones and and other weapons in a war against Armenia. Hell, Chinese support Russia too. Hungary acts up as Russia's bitch. But we are not blaming them. We blame Putin, initiator of the war with Ukraine and Aliev in a war with Armenia.

By the time the season starts he will have turned 32 but yes, let's hope.

Personally, I'm not optimistic. The guy played in the Iranian league until he was 27 before moving to Europe where the highest level he reached was the Portuguese league - which is like, 6th or 7th tier at best. He also seems to have dropped off badly last season.

Now at the age of 32, we're expecting him to suddenly take a major leap forward and raise his quality to that of Italian champions? Stranger things have happened but it just seems unlikely.

I love that our new striker has had one of the worst seasons in his career. 9 goals in 32, after 31 in 51 last year. Grande.

I don't think we should worry about his decline, those numbers are probably because for almost a year now he knows he is leaving porto, and there is no way, no matter how big of a professional you are, you don't engage an autopilot. Also, he doesn't strike me as a striker that relies on speed or rapid movements, things that get you in a rapid decline seat, instead he is a poacher type with solid passing abilities that can probably play well into his late 30s. Also, porto was kinda shit in the league this year as well.

The only question mark I have around him is how much of his quality in portuguese league which in undeniable imo could be translatable in seria a. Cos, all sorts of bums scored 30 plus goals in that league...

Problem with Arna was that he wasn't free. Shouldn't expect too much from gapfillers solutions.

If Taremi could do simple tapins and some flicks this deal would be better already, due to the price difference.
