they obviously had dybala as their main goalscorer. morata as far as i recall was effective as well, worked hard, made good runs, insane speed. of course icardi is a better finisher and he gets carried by the whole team with a billion crosses from all sides every game.

I hope reaching the CL motivates Icardi to improve even more. He is a top finisher, but sometimes he disappears and it’s only his fault. A lot of great crosses and pass have been made this season and Icardi is nowhere to be seen due to his poor positioning. Also, imo he sometimes tend to be too lazy to drop a little bit behind to help his teammates create more chances, I think he has the tools for that but it’s a matter of willingness. Hope with the presence of Lautaro he can do that more of often.

Moreover, this might be only me but, I think he needs to hit the gym more. I hate seeing him losing duels too softly.

Dude, do you expect him score EVERY chance he gets? I mean, his goalscoring percentage is probably the best out there compared to other top CF's. Besides of that, he is known for his great positioning and goalscoring instics. This is not FIFA/PES, of course one can have a period of poor games or something, but nonetheless he has been our saviour in past few years.

On top of that you can call him anything but lazy this season as he has improved a lot his overall game, I mean he is more of a work horse compared to his earlier seasons and he has also gained much more strength from what he has been before on his early days here.

Icardi is scoring goals here and there despite that his service can be very limited at times. He is still improving and delivering for the team though.
