I honestly don't think Icardi and Jovetic will ever be the duo that people wanted or expected them to be. Their contrasting styles are obvious, and they both want to do different things with the ball.

Jovetic is too slow for direct football, and Icardi doesn't have enough creativity or technique to play in a slow tempo setting.

Icardi touched the ball 19 times in 77 minutes, Ljajic 15 times after he came on for Icardi. I'm not expecting him to be like Ljajic of course, but that's a fairly depressing statistic.
