I don't want to be hyped until I see Lautaro, Thuram, Arnautović being a factor in CL this season or see them against Juventus.

We already know that they can perform against smaller opps.
That could be enough to reach top 4, for Scudetto, yeah, need to hunt in big matches.

I hope he will score something between 10 and 15 goals in Serie A, but we definitely need a top-striker, what we have actually (Lautaro, Thuram and Arnautovic - Correa doesn't even count as a striker) is not enough to fight for the CL spots.

Not enough for CL spots? I disagree, but yeah, we all know one more Icardi/Lukaku is needed.

The positive thing about Arnautovic is that he realised after leaving Inter that he missed a chance to play for a great club. In some of his interviews, he talked about his regrets and not having the right mindset when he was first here.

Now, he has returned and he sees it as a chance to redeem himself or right a mistake(s) that he made. When a player is grateful and has the mindset of wanting to right a wrong or prove themselves, the attitude and determination that goes into that can make a world of difference to their game.

Needless to say, that attitude is very different to the kind of player that negotiates with bitter rivals to try and find a new club. Of course, Arnautovic may not be as gifted or strong as a player, but his desire to play for Inter and give his best will go a long way.

Man, I feel bad no one is mentioning he scored two goals. Just in case he’s reading the forum, I don’t want him to feel left out.
The disrespect for him is crazy. There are seriously people here that consider him a downgrade from Dzeko. If we want to talk about their career, i get it. But if we talk about last season i don't see how Arna could do worse. Today he made 2 goals, a penalty and a "true striker" goal.
This guy is still worth something, there are good chances that he will score a decent amount of goals. Him and Thuram are an upgrade over Dzeko.
But there are people that will think that it's something predictable, while ther are also some people that think Dzeko was actually good because of he's "contribution" or he's "great career". First he's a striker, not a fucking midfielder. Second i don't care about he's career, all i know is that Arna can do much more then what he did last season.

Arnautovic has never been much of a goal scorer. I have concerns about his ability to be effective coming off the bench. He doesn't really have a match changing skill. I don't think bringing him on to replace, say, Thuram gives us much diversity in the way we're able to attack.

Dzeko was horrible the second half of last season. That shouldn't be the standard we have for Arnautovic. It's the bare minimum that he exceeds that level.

He's tall and strong. Sanchez and Lautaro don't really have that. I see him as a bit of a target man/ offensive regista.

I see him as a useful tool in certain games but not as somebody who will provide many goals and play a lot of minutes.

Good for him tho, two well taken goals.

These arrivals in attack remind me so much of Ibra's departure back in the day. We have managed to bring in Diego Milito and Samuel Eto'o, both great and different kind of players whom gave another dimension to our attack back then, whilst individually maybe Ibra was a more complete player but as a group we made an improvement.

Dzeko was insanely good for us, despite that he's had a run of poor form here and there, but if you look it closer on his impact in Inter then he's been absolutely fantastic.

Thuram and Arnautovic are both different players and almost nothing like Dzeko but still are able to be productive and keep our attack as competitive as it was.

Alexis is too fragile but he can at least be more useful than Korrea. I've also said it earlier, our attack is better now. Every single one of them are able to make an impact in our game depending on situation.

Ibra more complete than Eto´o? You´ve got to be kidding mate. I won´t claim any of the two is the better player overall, because both have quite different characteristics, but let´s just say Samy´s track record even back then proved that he was at least just as prolific a goal-scorer as Ibra was, and he was also a great assist provider, too (just of the top of my head, in the winning 05-06 CL campaign he was the top assistman).

Yet, Mou actually played him out of position as an inside forward most of his first season, and he adapted extremely quickly. Even though we´ll never know, it is quite unlikely that Ibra would even agree to play in that role, and even less likely he would excel in it.

All that undermines your take about Eto´o being less complete as a player. Eto´o was not in any way inferior to Ibrahimovic, he was a like-for-like exchange that even back then everybody considered a total steal, considering that we got a twice CL winner and the most recent CL final goalscorer for a flashy striker who failed to deliver in CL, and we also got 45 mil on top.
